Still mourning about "conflicting" misc slots? No longer!

After crying about how wearing the Whiskered Gentleman + Foster's Facade was fixed, while rereading one of my older posts which cried about how wearing the Whiskered Gentleman + Foster's Facade was fixed, I decided to toy around a bit, and see if the system could be beaten.

As you can see here, wearing the Gentleman is okay, but the Facade refuses to be put on. The solution to this: First of all, bind a key to quickswitching. If you're unfamiliar with all this, open the console, and type
bind mouse3 +quickswitch
This binds your middle mouse button to quickswitching.

Next up, put the first item you would like to wear in the second misc slot. Which item you choose doesn't really matter. Then join a game. While you're ingame, open the quickswitch menu and press 7. (7 is the quickswitch hotkey for misc slots)

Voila: your misc slot shows as empty, without any conflict notices! Simply click the conflicting misc item of your choice, and we're all set.
And the result:

Enjoy your TRUE second miscs. (Until Valve finds out and patches it. :tinfoil:)
Whenever I do this it just resets when I open my inventory.

I haven't seen any resetting myself though. The worst I've seen is that while wearing some hats, a conflicting misc wouldn't show up in the quickswitch menu. However, it works the other way around. First equip the misc, then the hat in Quickswitch.
An example of the above:

Interesting, atleast we've a guide for it now. :v:

why would you even want to use that combo?
to demonstrate his point, to make people scream and cry at clipping issues ingame.
What's stupid that I can't wear Whiskered gentleman + Sight for sore eyes without using this, while I'm seeing noh mercy + any spy hat running around and oh god it clips so bad.
What were they thinking?
Personally I prefer the induced lag method that allows for any item where it shouldn't be, rather than just the one misc slot.
Got a 'clipping' issue?
1. Unequip your cosmetics.
2. Disconnect from internet, or otherwise induce asstons of lag.
3. Equip items that normally would not work together. They will not show up as equipped at this point; this is normal.
4. Reconnect to internet.
5. Enjoy item sets, whether they clip or not.
Sorry if late. :v
Edit: While I'm here, woo, not the only Lemon Demon fan, it seems.
Apparently the update thread was crammed with tricks like these already. Oh well.

Me too, I found that myself before I even knew about the +quickswitch method.
The loadout GUI is much simpler than the quickswitch GUI.
I have shift binded as quickswitch but it only shows the 3 weapon slots and the action slot. some of the buttons wont work ie. for hat and misc.
was there a patch :S ?
I thought everyone knew this.
Whenever I do this it just resets when I open my inventory.
Whenever I do this, the game crashes. It also crashes when I don't do this.
I just lagged enough to put my Whiskered Gent and Sore Eyes on at the same time. Thanks, though. Fully intend to abuse this.
May be late, but I was never explained how you did this, awesome, u rock!
Don't think this works anymore.
What a shame.
It does.
Valve, just let us wear any 2 miscs with any hat; things that don't look decent together WON'T be used. But as it is now, it is more annoying that anything. And the misc shoes being incompatible with WEAPONS is something that shouldn't even be considered.
I don't see why they should care about clipping at all, TF2 is supposed to be a silly game with obvious video game physics.

There's a reasonable amount of clipping, that's inevitable; then there's an amount of clipping where it looks like a bunch of amateurs made it.

True, the more I think about it the more of a bad idea that sounds.
Quickswitching items that don't work togheter isn't only ugly clipping.

It's also beautiful bearded eyeballs.
Gog's Goggles + Noh Mercy, anyone?

Wait, this still works? I thought they patched it?
Best part is, you can do this with soldier/demo costume feet and their respective boots.
But I thought they patched the quickloadout thing
[editline]2nd November 2011[/editline]
Is there some new way I'm not aware of?

No. But sometimes I've found that conflicting glasses just don't show up when you try to pick them from your quick-load feature list.
The quickswitching exploit still works perfectly fine for me.
It doesnt work when I add conflicting hats, but for example Dead breath and Fosters work since theyre both misc.
