When I crafted my first hat, I got a batter helm, I loved it liked a brother.
Goddamn fucking hatless.
When round two came for a craft, I belched out another hat, no more than another scout hat, but, a goddamn hatless.
Goddamn fucking hatless.
Time again to craft another hat from metal, I craft once more to see myself, Another goddamn hatless scout.
I crafted my hats into oblivion and ended up with a Ushanka.
I jumped into the game for fun and took a few steps, I fell and found my self.

This game, is it bent to make me have this one damn hat? I know I shouldn't be complaining but I have found a hat for once, and it is a god damn hatless.
tl;dr Crafted Scout hatless with metal twice, then found it again.

Because something that is random is fine. It would be fine if the chances were reflected by team points you had in a game like, how many times you capped the intel with someone close by, how much time you spent on a point in koth and how many people accompanied you, how many enemies you killed that attacked a friendly medic, etc.
It is fine shut your trap.
Don't worry, I've found 3 Stovepipes and crafted Soldier's stash 3 times, as well as the Yellow Belt and the Billycock.

There is a problem, I've played about 100 more hours than one of my friends, (who idles all the time) and he has like 7 hats, found, and I finally find 1 hat after all that time.
Well there's your problem.
Idle more if you really want them.
I wasn't getting any before I idled, and I've gotten 5 after starting in less than a month as well.

can you craft them? I got 3 and waiting for a 4th
3 pain train = 1 scrap.
Just like any other weapon.
Haven't tried crafting them with demo/soldier items yet.
It's just a hat. Calm down.
