I thought it would be a more combat oriented weapon and would therefor apply jarate on all hits, charging only dealt more damage.
Sadly, it does not apply jarate on noscope shots and loosely charged shots.

I was hoping the same thing, that the jarate would be applied on hits because I can't headshots for shit if I'm not using the ambassador.

I crafted it, but the Jarate system is weird. You have to time it with a flashing symbol if you want to quickscope, and if you want a guaranteed jarate you have to wait for full charge. At least that's how I interpreted it.

Having to be scoped just ruins any potential usefulness of the weapon. Unless it does a mini-crit on headshot or something to make up for it, it's worthless in comparison to the Sniper Rifle, not to mention the close range use it lacks in comparison to the Huntsman.

It's hard to gauge at the moment. It's more of a team weapon, than a lone wolf sniper weapon.
On another note: Yellow Belt + Sydney Sleeper + Jarate + Bushwacka = Jarate Master

I no longer want this weapon than. It would have been a great combo with that new big knife but now its shit.

As a team weapon I'd rather have the Sniper Rifle. Why charge up a shot to just give your team mini-crits when that shot could be a potential kill instead? I'd rather have an instant kill than some damage and a debuff.
They wouldn't want people spamming noscopes, so that's why
I love the sydney sleeper, just because of its piercing attack.
I killed a sniper, a sentry and an engineer behind it in a single fully charged shot.
And if it doesn't kill 'em in line, will, that's still 2-3 people jarated at the same time.
If you are a fail sniper like I am, it's the perfect weapon to bodyshot people with Jarate so your team mates can rape them.

The darts have a beacon in them, and a Misssilate is fired from the nearest Sattelate.

Sorry cant answer that till i understand how shooting someone can recharge batteries or how can an old knife prevent you`re disguise yet disguise when you stab someone , i think it should just make disguise noisier and slower. By the way i just saw a guy that had confetti in his pimp hat , does that mean he sells children?
