Official Painted Weapons - At least for a few minutes. - Games

Remember when valve released that [i]very small[/i] update, with like one fix, and released another un-documented patch immedietly after? I barely noticed it, but I just ignored it. I assumed it was just a fix for a very small/unnoticeable thing. So I join the Gift Farming Server, and everyone was freaking out about a guys "Painted Cow Mangler". I thought that it was some alaborate ruse, until people began talking about valve implementing weapon painting. So I looked. It looked just like a Cow Mangler, except the Colored Bits were darker and less saturated - Like that one Team-Color paint. I press "Inspect". Sure enough, it says it's painted. I even pulled mine out for comparison, and it was awesome. Some guy immedietly started asking for paints, but the guy with the Mangler said that they became unpaintable again, so only those who painted in that window of time got them. One guy said something about someone painting a Vita saw. As they talked, they spoke about how valve got rid of it to "Preserve the Artstyle" (*Ahem* [sp]A Color Similar to Slate[/sp]). Personally, I think it'd be awesome if they re-implemented it, so I could paint my Reserve Shooter Team Spirit, my Sticky Jumper Purple, etc. Sure, you'll call bullshit [i]now[/i], but when I get on my actual computer (I'm posting on-the-go) I'll post screenshots.

They use the system they use for painting to paint the cow mangler in team colours, I do believe.

Never knew about this. It would be cool if they implement it officially.

It never meant to be implented officially, it was a glitch Valve quickly fixed because the Cow Mangler use the same way than hats do for its team colors, and thus it could be painted.

There's a painted vita-saw as well.
