Ellis cap unlocked from doing something for The Sacrifice?

So I was looking in the News Node about the update for the Sacrifice when I saw this

Ellis' cap is not red. TF2 is the only place where a Red Ellis' cap is found.

Maybe it's something for if you own both L4D1 and L4D2.

Or if you do something in L4D1, since for pre-ordering L4D2 you got Bill's hat, a L4D1 item. Would make sense for a vice-versa.

You probably have to complete the Sacrifice campaign for it, or something. It's probably going to be pretty common, but it looks cool for a free hat.

It's probably not gonna be this but I'd make it unlock for earning all Sacrifice achievements in both games.

I really like that hat.

Perhaps you can play the Sacrifice as the New survivors and if you sacrifice yourself as Ellis you get the hat.

Hence the Skeleton wearing the hat.

This man might be correct, you could get achievements depending on what survivor you sacrifice

I hope not, reinstalling L4D1 would chew up a lot of unnessecary bandwidth. Could I get it with an achievement unlocker?

TF2Wiki says the models are different, and they look different too me. Maybe there's the frying pan for one game and the hat for the other?
