Starting just yesterday, for some reason whenever I play now I get weird freezing. My character just freezes out of nowhere but I see other people moving normally and then I just die. Its really annoying and started just yesterday, is anyone else getting this problem?
Check your ping. It's pretty normal if you have it above 900.
Either that or his keyboard is failing to respond. If he's seeing everyone else move normally and he's stuck in place (and then gets killed) I presume his input is failing periodically.
Do you use Windows Vista/7 and a wireless connection?

Thats quite serious actually. Its probably the WiFi autoscan by 7/vista.

I get it too and I use vista wireless
Apparently, this problem is cause by Vista scanning for a better wireless connection. A program call Vista Anti-Lag (VAL) stops Vista from doing so, fixing the lag spikes.

I haven't tested it myself, mostly because I use Win XP and a wired connection.

i use it, i have a linksys wireless card, but had to install new drivers (ralink) to make the program work. installing those was a pain, mainly because i didn't know how to install, but luckily i could find some goot tutorials.
anyhow, when it's the vista scan you can't see other people moving, the game just freezes for a second, and after that you get placed where you would have been if the game didn't freeze.(for example 5 feet forward of the positions where you initially froze).
honestly i wouldn't know what it is... as far as i'm concerned it's not the vista wireless scan lag.

(actually, i use a program called "WLAN optimizer" but i guess it's the same principal, small background program that disables the scans)
