I am not an admin of TF2WH. I am not someone who has any relation with anyone who has power over TF2WH. I'm just a guy. On the internet. Who has some dumb suggestions for a website that I like.
TF2WH is a brilliant service, but it has some serious issues that need fixing.
First of all- Overstock. Nowadays, the most common thing people are looking to get some fast metal for are just common craft hats, which this service is perfect for.
Currently, if you offer a craftable hat that's on overstock they say they'll give you 500-2000 credits. Change that to 4500 credits flat for all overstocked craft hats, and all overstocked craft hats become 5000 credits flat to purchase.
5000 credits is 1 ref 1 scrap, and I see people every day buying craft hats for that much. That's more than a 10% profit margin right there and should increase demand for the service significantly. There's a problem though, selling 1 refined to the WH only currently yields 2 rec 2 scrap worth of credits, but I'll cover it in my next suggestion.
Currently refined metal costs 4500 credits to buy from the warehouse but it only sells for 4000. Change the buying and selling price to 4500 flat, and can never be overstocked. You might not make any profit here, but it's for the better of everything. Keeping it the way it was is like charging a fee for using dollar bills to pay for your lunch. Not cool.
TF2WH is a total mess right now. The current service is buggy, down way too often, looks tacky and unprofessional and most importantly isn't very user-friendly. I'm not an expert at coding, graphic design, or user friendliness but even I can tell it needs some serious work. Raise funds and get some professionals to refine (har har) the site and clean it up. Now you may be thinking "Hey! Money doesn't grow on trees! We can't possibly afford professionals!" Stop for a second. The news site The Online Society pegged the Entire TF2 economy at $20 MILLION DOLLARS. If you can control just 5% of that alone, you're looking at $1,000,000 going through your guys' pipes. That's a lot of money.
A lot of people I recommend TF2WH to are turned off by the credits mechanic. While it's often a good business idea to use a unique currency for a service like this, I don't think it's a good fit for TF2WH. At least, add an option to show the current refined price as opposed to the current credits price. Example being a 5,550 credit hat would show up as 1.23 refined.
Cosigning is a good idea, but it's applied in all the wrong places. Currently, you're allowed to cosign practically everything and cosigning something is a huge hassle with too many fees and annoyances. Limit cosigning to only hats with craft #'s 100 or below, new hats that don't have a stable economic price, and unusuals. While it might make a few people happy to allow cosigning for everything, it's bothersome to everyone else and generally pisses more people off in the long run.
I wouldn't use anything besides TF2WH if it was fixed up. The idea is brilliant, it's helpful to the consumer and the seller, but it's just executed badly at the moment.
End of possibly helpful rant.
Oh yeah, and bring back and expand upon craft packs, they're a really nice idea.
I agree on consigning. It should only be used for numbered hats and weapons, new stuff with no set price, and Unusuals. People who consign something I want to be 1.5 - 2 times its price really tick me off. I've been looking for Team Spirit and Black paint for a fair price for forever now.
When I first looked at WH, I was turned off by the credits, but I eventually did the math, and when I saw that the prices were just, I hopped on board. Personally I think an option to view the price in terms of metal is a neat idea.

and the crappy bots need fixing the most
I wanted to purchase a Nice Crate before they disappeared, but I couldn't because some guy consigned it from 450c to 20,000c, and I couldn't buy a Blighted Beak because instead of being <10,000c, some loser tops it over 25,000c.
Also they need to use The Shugo Team™'s icons, because they're awesome, easy on the eyes, and more visually noticeable. /shamelessplug

I am tired of hearing people complaining about that dumb site
I was going to write a very detailed, long, and politically correct explanation of why you are wrong and Warehouse is a wonderful site compared to the shitholes that other trading methods are, but I could care less to how ignorant you are in regards to Warehouse's glorious stature and convenience.
It isn't perfect, but god damn, it is nowhere near what you give it credit for.
Pun very much intended.

I guess I said it wrong, but what I meant is:
Try to get used to other trading methods, because WH doesn't seem to be getting any better in terms of stability. Trust me, I love the site too, but I don't think it's nowhere near updated.

I never said he couldn't. That post as me being an idiot, just disregard it.
The news site The Online Society pegged the Entire TF2 economy at $20 MILLION DOLLARS.
I actually read somewhere that the TF2 economy was valued at $52 MILLION DOLLARS.
What they really need to fix is me not winning 250,000 credits

I read somewhere that reading the whole article is important before commenting
(to save you lazy bastards some time, at the bottom of the article they posted an update claiming that they made some errors and it's only worth $20 Million)
guys I actually read somewhere that the TF2 economy's size doesn't matter, what does matter to a great amount of people is that one particular website engineer a better system of satisfying its customers, for the good of both itself and the playerbase.
I read that TF2's economy is valued at BOLD TEXT
But I agree 100% with consigning. When there are dry spells for items, sellers tend to inflate their prices because they realise that there's a high demand for them. The problem with this system though, is that it goes against the initial purpose of the site: to give users a hassle-free, monopoly-free, fair-trading service. Sellers may be discouraged from trading in their item if they're just offered standard prices though, so perhaps the first # of people to replenish the store's supply of a certain item could be given an extra 25% credit? I don't know, but the site is quickly devolving into what it shouldn't be.

Solution: don't let those sellers change the price.
In the first few days, tell them to "Fuck off" if they attempt to.
If they never come back, nothing of value will be lost.
Wait, didn't selling refined metal to the warehouse yield 4400 credits?
Also, I agree with the consigning item limits. I mean some of the items within the range of the top 10 most expensive items are just strange/vintage weapons that are renamed.
