Can this do animated? If so, I'll be using this a lot.
Can this do animated? If so, I'll be using this a lot.
Yes and no. You can use it to make the frames, but your gonna need to import the frames into VTFEdit.

Also repost for the image fading spray effect.

If you find you are having issues keeping the mipmaps in vtfedit use this:
Oh and if you find the above way does not work, follow it all the way upto 5, then use this to convert your DDS to a VTF.
http://blackrose.reager.co.uk/downloadables/DDS%20to%20VTF%20(IMPORTANT%20SHIT%20BRO).exe
http://www.fileplanet.com/163781/160000/fileinfo/Vampire:-The-Masquerade---Bloodlines---Quick-and-dirty-Bloodlines-Tools-v3.9a (alternative)
With the settings like this.

Open the VTF up in VTF edit (it will be where your DDS was) and continue from 6.
That one. Damn ninjas :argh:
EDDY are you able to begin the download of DirectxSDK?
DirectX SDK is downloading for me.
Hey EDDY, I remade your tutorial into a horrible shitty one for Paint.net and packaged it with the tools in a ZIP file for easy access.

Now where's my clocks and boxes?
Paint.net, ewwwwww. :v:
Also huge image size is huge.
The only site I had that would accept that image to host was Windows Skydrive. I wish that animation was more fluid, but it does its job. It was a bitch to animate, and the entire creation of that image took all of yesterday.

I keep getting a link is broken error D:
I heard VTFedit does animated sprays just by ctrl + clicking multiple files when importing.
How do we do the sprays that fade out completely? like they fade out when you get futher away, and fade in when you get closer. i remeber it being a option in vtfedit, one of the check boxes i believe

Make a texture with a full alpha.
Make a texture with a full alpha.
I thought it was Blend option: darker, or something like that? Atleast that's how I did it.
I thought it was Blend option: darker, or something like that? Atleast that's how I did it.
Correct. But it's the shader option if I remember rightly.
Correct. But it's the shader option if I remember rightly.
SHADER, that's what I meant.
I heard VTFedit does animated sprays just by ctrl + clicking multiple files when importing.
All you have to do with VTFedit to make animated sprays is just import all the images at once and save it.
