So I don't have my refined metal anymore, nor my scout token, and I didn't get anything in return...
Is there anyway I can complain to valve about this and get the stuff back?

Just wait for it, you'll get it eventually.
You get the crafted item eventually,din't worry about it.
You should get it back automatically. Open the Mann Co. store or simply wait. You'll get it back. Crafting hiccups happen like that all the time.
My friend lost a bunch of his stuff this way.
1. Click the store
2. Click the backpack.
Well I've been playing for about 20 minutes now, and I've tried clicking the store or whatever, and I didn't get a scout hat.
I did find a razorback though...
You'll eventually get it back. The crafting server is just slow.

Note from the recent update, which got many players back on at the same time. Plus the Trades.

Happened to me I got it back after 5-10 minutes
Again, this happened to me about 5 minutes ago, except i got my crafted item and the origional items back :v:
