• Logic to Prices

Ok, quick question- look at this... Hatless scout, universally seen as one of the worst hats- £7, vs the £2 of the other two hatless. Tyrant's Helm and Ushanka, universally seen as some of the best hats (who'd complain if they found one?)- £3.50 Bridage helm and Rubber glove, both released at the same time- Brigade is double the price of the glove. 3 completely different prices for the Fro, Tophat and Bonnet. Is there actually any logic to these prices that I'm missing, or did Valve just draw numbers out of a box and slapped them on at random?
They're priced by date/series of release as far as I can tell.
Best hat = People want, people want = More buyers = more money Bad hat = people do not want, people do not want = less buyers = less money
They're priced by date/series of release as far as I can tell.
So how does that explain a 7 quid Brigade helm vs a 3.50 quid rubber glove?
it's irrelevant because nobody should be paying for hats to begin with. if you've been playing tf2 for any meaningful amount of time then you'll likely come across a hat or 2, or at the very least be able to craft one. and then you can just trade with people to get what you want. buying hats is for lazy fucks.

Maybe it's by amount available in the game? Just throwing an option here, I honestly can't deduct their reasoning at all.
I think my logic on it made enough sense.
I think my logic on it made enough sense.
Brigade Helm= £7 Sports Shine= £7 You may have your opinions, but you can recognize that the brigade is widely held to be good, and the Shine very, very shit. I'm not sure that logic works.
I think the logic boils down to "Will people trade it often?" Otherwise, their logic is "MONEYMONEYMONEYMONEY"
