Some kind of predator-esque mode perhaps?
That should be a default ability of some classes :0
(I'd love to see the Dead Ringer nerfed but this added to the Spy)
would be quite cool melee-parkour type of gameplay + capture the flag
Also... would be an interesting type of replacement for scout... that replaces the scattergun. Basically make scout even faster, give triple jump and grab onto ledges n stuff. Maybe it would be underrated/hard to use, but still a new gameplay mechanic for a class.
TF2 mods are all serverside, though, right? At least that's how it is on CS:S. So there really can't be any clientside prediction for this type of movement, it's going to feel awkward if you have a ping > 100 ms. If it's less than 100 ms, the client will buffer the movement anyway (All movement on Source is delayed by 100 ms to compensate for lag, believe it or not).
It'd be a cool racing mode but that's pretty much it. It would most likely break nearly every map ever made if used ingame as an unlock.
an arena type map where everyone is scouts chasing each other?

I had a guy test it with me that had 650 ms ping. He said while his own movement lagged, the parkour moves didn't :raise:
beats me
You can parkour in TF2 anyway; Jumping over obstacles, through windows etc. flanking the enemy by being a ninja
and you don't necessarily have to be Scout to do that. Engineer is pretty agile too

Well hey, it's Source we're talking about :v:
You'll see, tomorrow it'll stop working altogether without any intervention on your part.

That's not what parkour is...

I'd say for Scout, Pyro, and Spy.
You could give that ability to Super Zombie Fortress zombies
I'd say for Scout, Pyro, and Spy.
Personally, I thought Scout, Spy and Sniper would take well to parkour, since their jobs often require getting to places that others can't in order to get the advantage, but I never thought that Pyro really needed parkour, or was even suited for that ability.

Pyro's a weirdo. That's why. :v:
My name is Humblerbee and I support this message/mod. *goes back to the bushes outside Mecha's window*

Tell him I said "hi." *places GPS device on Humblerbee*
Zombiefortress is the only thing I can think of where this will work wonders

It would be really cool being able to climb up to a vantage point as sniper or get to a roof for a surprise attack as spy. Also, wall jump would be a pretty cool ability for the scout to have.

*COUGH ADVANCED FUCKING WEAPONISER COUGH* Sorry, I've had a bit of a cold... :ohdear:

That sounds like a bad cold.

It is, I want Dr. Mecha to take a look at it. :v:
Looks weird from 3rd person view.

I think he can cure you with using his surgery tool also known as (new) Kopesh Klimber
Well I was talking to Mecha when he was making this, and he said that originally he was planning it for an AW unlock, but then because normal TF2 maps don't have enough straight surfaces, ledges, etc, he decided it wouldn't work and couldn't be used. I disagreed, and asked that he at least test it on AW- If you want it for AW, let your voice be heard and say so!
Woah, I like it.
Why????
now i have to change my pants
also, could there be some sort of tag gametype where the person who is "it" can do all of this?

While its neat, I can't really think of any gamemode concept that would suit this kind of Mirror's Edge gameplay. Any ideas?
Make a CTF gamemode where you get points when you're holding the enemy flag intead of bringing it to your base.
I have a sudden urge to replay Mirror's Edge.
