No matter what I do, I cannot seem to purchase from the shop.
I have 5.00 USD on my Steam Wallet. I should be able to purchase 2 paint cans. But every time I attempt to checkout, I get one of two errors:

Everyone tells me to keep trying, and I do, but it still never works. I've sat there for half an hour clicking checkout and it just never works at all.
I submitted a Steam ticket on this but I have not gotten a reply in 2 days.
Any help at all?
Have you tried restarting Steam/ your computer?
i got that to when i was buying the polycount pack.. and i had 300 bucks in my credit card, but it wont let me pay 50 bucks, and it gives me the same messages as you and its been doing it to me since friday and no reply on my ticket aswell
Play on a server for a bit, check connection to steam, try for a minute or two, if it doesn't work, rinse and repeat.
yeah i didnt try for 3 days and when i tried again few hours ago, didnt work still the same message
Pretty much what Serge's saying. I've been trying constantly since the shop released in AND out of servers.
I've reset my computer multiple times and deleted ClientRegistry.blob just for the hell of it. Nothing as worked and I continue to get the same errors.
Try from another person's PC
Did that too actually. Ayesdyef has tried for me and he got the same errors.
Maybe this is Valve's way of telling women not to play.

You forgot tax, I think.

100% tax?
It's two $2.49 paint cans, equaling $4.98
Add washington's tax, you get ~$5.50
I usually don't have any tax on Steam, like at all.
But let me try buying one can and see if it works.

Tried to check out with 1 paint can instead of 2. Still didn't work.

You buy one at a time though.
