Features a lot.
Every class is scripted.
Most is explained in binds.cfg and the rest is labelled.
Check out scripts.cfg for a general overview of what is included.
Everything has been thoroughly play-tested.
Assumes you have a five button mouse.
P.S. – If anybody can think of a better implementation of weapon-switching (or at least one that works better) in heavyweapons.cfg, it would be greatly appreciated.

Box rain incoming
A for effort
Can you atleast explain some of what this does on the thread?
I became better instantaneously better when I started using this:
Mwheel up primary (knife for spy)
Mwheel down secondary (revolver)
Q melee (I wanted that quickness for axetinguishings/stab 'n sapping
1 PDA
Eh, I figured this would go over Facepunch's head.
Basically, binds each weapon to a specific button on your mouse. Say, you're playing Medic with my configuration installed.
To heal, you left-click. To fire needles, you hit the middle mouse button. To melee, you hit the right mouse button. To uber, you hit your fourth mouse button. That general principle holds true to most classes.
There's various other scripts that are extremely minimalistic. Probably the only one really worth mentioning is the 'quick class switcher'. Basically, you hold shift and press buttons 1-9 to join classes.
1 = Scout, 2 = Soldier, 3 = Pyro, etc.
Basically, the concept of this script is to remove the delay when cycling through weapons with mwheelup and mwheeldown.

Pretty much the concept of the script but with less emphasis on the keyboard. It's good to keep your fingers on WASD to be able to dodge attacks efficiently.
This stuff basically revolutionizes your controls, I'd figure it's ultimately easier but I'm just too lazy to erase 2000+ hours of default controls :v:

Pretty rude considering you didn't explain it straight away.
But the config actually seems quite good, and I don't really see any problems with it at the moment.

Post a script without explaining it and then insult everyone when they ask what it does.
Stay classy.
Nah, I don't want it.
And oh god if i'm crouching and changing weapons fffff

Ya, I plan to. Takes five seconds to understand the gist of it from binds.cfg in the download archive. :p

What? You can do that.

It was more of a light-hearted joke than anything. Should've added an emoticon. Also, thanks. I hope you enjoy it.

Why is this getting boxes? Quoting from the OP:

Everything's explained in there. Nice script, but I guess at this point most people are so used to their current setup they won't change their binds.
I'm using Broesel's xhair switcher at the moment, works great if you prefer viewmodels off on some weapons/ classes.

He only just added the binds to the OP.
But, for some people this can be quite a nice new config if they don't like their current one.

Gotta disagree there. I think it's better to have most commands on the keyboard and to let the mouse do the aiming. If you keep your fingers on WASD you basically have 2 fingers not doing anything.
By the way, the quick class switcher-concept you scripted sounds great, I'll try it out.

Because we'd waste our time downloading something just to find out what it is, even at all.
Not exactly a good way to start your reputation on Facepunch.

Well, in my case, all of my fingers are being used at some point. WASD, space, and ctrl notably.

I don't really care about reputation. Just trying to prevent my efforts going to waste.
OP needs to be more descriptive, but from the info I've gathered this sounds like a excellent script.
Not sure why the entire script is dedicated to pressing fewer buttons, but the z key switches between the voice menus instead of keeping them z/x/c
Seems kind of against the rest of your script, you know?

Eh, I'm debating keeping it in the script or not. It encourages me to save time by not using the voice menus while keeping them accessible. It was more of a challenge to simplify http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9153388&postcount=183.

But you shouldn't be suffering from a weapon switching delay, you should be using your head and turning quick-switch on so you can literally move your finger up for a split-second to mash the slow key for whatever weapon you want.
And have a previous weapon key to quickly swap back.
Moving everything to the mouse doesn't make it any easier unless you are used to playing like that.
There's a fourth mouse button?
There's a fourth mouse button?
Side buttons on most higher-tier mice.

Haha, there is a significant advantage over quick-switch. Think about Spy and Engineer. Also, it took me only a day to adjust after completing the gist of the config.

Yeah, I do think about Spy and Engineer.
...So, where's the disadvantage?

Maybe for like, temporarily swapping to one weapon while you do something, but after a little playing, using quick-select and quick-switch is pretty fast anyway. I've never heard of anyone having problems using this method.
Some things in the script could be useful, but you see to rely on people having > 3 mouse buttons, not everybody has this.
I just want to know one thing:
Did you use/consider using cc_emit for this?
Yeah, I do think about Spy and Engineer.

Well, in the case of Spy, here's a situation:
You are going to a sentry nest.
There is a single Engineer at the nest.
You want to stab the Engineer and then sap to prevent a skirmish.
Chances are, if you were using quickswitch, the sentry would've killed you because you were not able to lay down sappers fast enough.
Then, there's the case of disguising. If you don't care about disguising, sure, that's fine. It's just such a pain to do.
Engineer's quickswitch is crowded with pdas as well. If you aren't a turtle and use gunslinger, I'm sure you can feel me.

Of course, not everyone has five mouse buttons. I may consider making another version for those without five mouse buttons if I get enough requests.

Wasn't aware of it. Suppose I could work out something.
I don't see why this got so many dumbs. Yes, he didn't explain it, but it's not like he's acting like a l33t tactical gam3r kind of guy.
Overall, nice script. Not my thing, but it's nice.
It's nice, but I think it's too much. Maybe someone would like it.
For me, the only script I have is something I've whipped up in 5 seconds. Mouse 3 lets me place a sentry (or mini sentry), and clicking it again destroys the sentry, and brings out a new one instantly. Perfect for battle Engies.
But that's all I need.
