Is this a parody or are you a moron?
Pardon, but what is SnM?

I see, I guess I missed another big update.

As much as I believe Sam and Max is a remarkable series and great game, I have to agree with this man. If you bought the game JUST for a few reskins, then chances are, you're an idiot. If you bought the game because you want the game itself, then it's perfectly fine.
I completely supports Valve's decision on the whole Sam and Max items fiasco, but it's your fault and your fault only if it drives you to buy the game. Valve is in no way responsible for it, and they are not being sponsored by Telltale or anything.
On-topic: I hope you enjoy the game, OP. It's actually quiet the comedic and fun adventure in my opinion.

If he can afford it then why not. Certainly doesn't make him an idiot

It does if he buys the game just for a few reskins f
uh
he just spent 35 dollars for a game that he explicitly said he wouldn't play, just for items in tf2
:suicide:
:downsgun: would be more appropriate.
Well, I've been vacillating over weather to get into Sam and Max for a while now, and the TF2 items pushed me over the edge. Is that pathetic of me or what? :smith:
I just really like pistols, even blocky low-rez textured ones... :saddowns:

I do plan on playing them, but the tf2 promo is what finally made me bite the bullet.

I declare backpack-OCD on the OP.

Nah, that may have been part of the hats in the first place. To help encourage a purchase. You'll love the series either way. It's 5 games for 35$ which is a good bargain and each episode will make you chuckle and has some good puzzles and adventure in it.
I've gotten so much value out of TF2 that I'd buy anything Valve asks me to. I'd even spend $25 on a fucking magic horse.

You're correct

also this
You payed $11.666... for 3 items?
What was that for?
Seriously people!
Methinks people need to stop seeing it as buying it just for the hat/reskins, and buying it to sort of 'donate' to the developers of Sam and Max, because they aren't as well-known as VALVe, which is sad because they really do make good games. Not only is your payment rewarded with a hat and some gun reskins (no matter how crappy they are), you get a couple nice games out of it as well. This way both sides of the argument are neutralized. Those for buying it just for the hat/weapons donated to a game company they know little about for a game they will never play, which is fine if they were just in it for the hat/weapons because it doesn't matter to the S/M devs, they get the money either way. Those against the same issue can metaphorically 'rest easy' knowing that though you're "infinitely smarter because you didn't pay 35 bucks for a hat" in your opinion, the developers of Sam and Max get a cut of the profit and therefore it's more for them than the owner of the hat.
yeah i've never heard of sam and max until this update but their games look pretty nice
I actually didn't really go for it until i found out that Telltale has the guy that wrote pajama sam
that WAS my childhood, man
SnM stands for Sadism and Masochism
:smug:

Each episode is also very lengthy as well. Personally, I view this as nothing more or less than a gift to the fans from Valve.
For people not sure on whether or not to buy this, download the free Abe Lincoln episode of Sam and Max and see if it's your style.
Do not buy the game for the items. Buy it if you like it.
