Okay, ill get right to the point. Details later.
1: How can I play music DIRECTLY into my microphone without having to set my volume too loud?
HLSS or HLDJ
Don't play it into your mic, quality will suck.

Thanks, but if not through the mic, how?
Something like media player that streams music into game.
First you're going to need to download these 3 programs from this page.

HLSS you bind keys to play music ingame, it is recommended that you use Alt+(insert key) so that it does not interfer with game controls.
You use the audio converter on these settings, the settings in the crossed out box are up to you.

If you DON'T, the audio will be messed up and slow sounding.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP, download this file, otherwise it will not work.

Once you've downloaded put it in this file, C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/username/game/game/cfg/
Open HLSS, hit the files tab, then options, it will request a destination,
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username\game\ is where you need to set it as.
To play the music ingame, bind a key in console with this command, "ToggleWav"
Press the keys you previously binded in HLSS for the song/sound and then press your 'ToggleWav' key, this will then play music.
If any of the music/audio is too loud or too quiet, change it in GoldWave.
If you need audio from a video on YouTube use this.

I actually prefer HLDJ since it uses console commands instead of binds and is much more easier. Also use goldwave for better quality, you can find guides here:
HLDJ guide

Goldwave quality

And the download is here:

Originally I would have linked him to the thread that shows up on Google, but it was shut down.
Luckily I remembered that page like the back of my hand.
Nice. I might have to try it myself.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
