The item store seriously needs to tweak some of its prices... - Games

But why can I buy a new hat for Soldier for less money than to remove Scout's hat? It honestly makes no sense.

It costs nearly as much as the game itself.

Good work Valve... Heh it could be because the hat it's "rare" due everyone crafting it.

I personally think that hats shouldn't be priced differently based on class, but instead on release date. If the hat was in batch one, then batch one should be priced lower than the latest batch. In addition, the store should have the ability to sort by release date as well, to determine how old something is.

I believe that the prices are fine, because I think they want hats to not become commonplace. I am currently content with the prices as not too many people buy them, and most people will just find them.

But really, it's not on sale, it's showing you that buying the polycount pack for 50 is 66% cheaper than buying each item separately that totals up to $134. For now, there is no sale. It really restored some of my Valve love when I realized they weren't actually going to sell a pack for a hundred and thirty four bucks.
