They actually made idling less time consuming (also less strenuous on our computers) and more efficient! IF I understand correctly from what I read in the blog update, a couple of hours of idling will be all we would need to "consume" are quota of items for a week and once that quota is done, we can let it off our minds and actually PLAY the game knowing that we got all the items we could get. Think about it.
Yes. Too many people are misunderstanding the blog post.
That is true, but to people who play regularly there will be no point in idling since they can reach the "cap" on just playing time. Idling won't die, but there will be less people now.
I agree. 'Idle, get a LOWER-DROP-RATE sign stuck on your name, play the game get higher drops' system is kinda working. got 7 drops in 25 mins.
You may as well just play the game, as you get the same amount of items while playing rather than just idling while you're doing something else.
So if you are only going to idle 2 hours a day, why woud you want these items anyway? You are not playing the game.
The idea was just to stop people idling consistently for days on end, giving them a far greater advantage in-terms of item drops than any regular player.
Thank god, someone understands. It really isn't a sin for REWARDING you for actually having fun by playing the game.
Finally, there's really little to no reason to complain about the drop rates anymore. I feel like I don't need to idle anymore! Thanks, Valve<3

No matter how Valve writes something, people always find a way to misunderstand something in their Blog posts. :geno:
I swear some people don't actually READ it, they just make the posts up. Where did they get this lower drop-rate from idling crap from
You could just play the game and not idle?
