What team? I thought this was just Fortress 2.
Saw that guy on TF2 UK. But I guess being on a team who gets steamrolled. Or being a medic when your team has no idea how to protect you.
Nothing. It's perfectly balanced, except the scout who is underpowered now they nerfed the sandman and FaN and Bonk to uselessness
I see what you did there. Doesent it piss you off when a weaboo kills you? or was he 12 years old?
Lag compensation I swear that scout was 2 meters away from me but he still killed me with his bat ;_;
"Why the fuck do we have 4 Spies and 4 Snipers?"
Nothing. It's perfectly balanced, except the scout who is underpowered now they nerfed the sandman and FaN and Bonk to uselessness
You sure about the FAN nerf? I'm able to easily two-shot people on arena_lumberyard.
People running off the point when defending it to chase a scout and letting a god damn engineer capture.
Nothing in TF2 itself. I think the game's fine and I love it and have loads of fun every time I play on any map with any class on any team. It's the people I hate. It's almost as if I'm the only person who has ever played TF2 just to have fun. I don't care if I lose; at least I'm having fun playing the game and trying my best. But I rarely ever see anyone else share those same sentiments. There's nothing I despise more than people who whine about their team. People who tell others to go different classes, people who blame others for their death, people who get all worked up and angry when the team loses, and most of all people who tell their team that the team sucks. If you fit any of these descriptions, please allow me to say this to you: Nobody wants to hear it. Shut up. People pick their classes the way they want to because that's what they want to play as; don't fucking tell them what to do. "Hurp durp why do we have three Snipers? GO SOMETHING USEFUL." Shut the fuck up. We have three Snipers because three people want to play Sniper. Why don't you be useful by holding the frontlines so the Snipers can pick off attackers from a safe distance? That's their Valve-given job, so do your part to make the team work by helping them perform their job. To those of you who get mad at the game when you lose a round: Nobody wants to hear it. Shut up. This one is just plain and simple. It's just a game. And you know what? It's a team-oriented game. The only thing you should be doing at the end of a losing round is either sitting quietly or congratulating your team on a great effort. Better luck next time. You have no idea the wonders that attitude works on a team's overall attitude. I've often found that having a positive attitude over microphone will often get everyone else to chime in and be positive too. And then, once everyone is communicating and friendly, they start to help each other and watch each other's backs. Corny-sounding, I know, but it really is the way it works. I find it funny that often a team does terribly BECAUSE of someone's negative attitude. Finally, to those of you who feel the need to tell your team that they suck: Nobody wants to hear it. Shut up. You are the worst kind of person in Team Fortress 2. I don't give a shit if you won x tournaments and have x playtime hours with x kills per death. You are not a one-man army. You are on a team. Surely you realize that to win a game as a team, everyone on the team must help each other out and work together, right? So what good do you think you're doing by telling them all that they suck? What is your point? These people are supposed to work together with you, and you're telling them right out that they're terrible. So now that they know that you're all pissy and angry and think they're bad at the game, what do you think is going to compel them to help you and work with you for the next round? Nothing. They WON'T want to help you the next round, they won't want to work together with you, and they will generally just want to ignore you. Great job, you just broke up the team and spread your bitterness around. Now nobody wants to try. That really is how it works. Is that the effect you were going for? I've never really understood the people who do this. It's even worse when the person who tells their team off is one of the better if not best players on the team. Great job, best player, you just caused your whole team to cut support from you and not want to work together with the best guy there. The worst part of all this is that I see at least one of these kinds of people almost every other game. It makes me mad. That's why I try my best to be polite and congratulatory to my team, so that they feel more confident and try a bit harder together. I dole out lots of thanks, lots of nice jobs/nice shots, lots of nice tries, and generally lots of positivity. Most importantly, I NEVER tell people how to play the game. I give helpful advice every so often, but I never tell someone what class they need to pick or that they're playing terribly. It really does contribute toward a better, closer-knit team than you think.
:words:
tool for you
1x agree with shugo
Detailed Explanation.
i wholeheartedly agree, too many people are obsessed with winning, or think that the game "isn't fun unless you win." And don't even get me started on eGO..
eGO* But yes, I pretty much agree with Shugo.
Other players.
wall of text
Agreed
When shots don't register as a sniper, which has happened to me on many occasions. Nothing's more irritating than getting a headshot on another sniper, seeing the blood decal on them, but doing no damage. Even worse when that same sniper headshots you a second later.
When Medics are too stupid to activate Uber when we waltz into their base under sentry fire. When Engineers stack sentries and they still get away with the intel.
Ghastly Gibus. Bills Hat. Halos.
A team composed entirely of offense classes, and no Engineers or even defensive Heavies(Very useful due to their use of Natasha) or Demomen that aren't using the Sword n' Board.
The game itself.
wall of text
I'd agree with, apart for the Sniper part.9 times out of ten, these people would have been more useful in the frontslines as soldiers, or demo than just sitting back and making one kill every 2 minutes. Thus, making you lose.
Is saying "Could we get more [necessary class here, usually me being the only one] here?" too much?
Emptying an entire clip at an enemy while in panic, getting kill and finding out he took absolutely no damage.
Demoknights, I wouldn't mind them if it wasn't for the drastic damage reduction from rockets. Lack of normal respawn time servers in europe.
As already said by shugo mainly the whiny community Aside from that probably some of the slightly more redundant additions (Bonk, gunboats etc)
Really long respawns (20+ seconds)
Wasn't it Facepunch server yesterday? One map later I raged, cause my Dominator didn't record.
Is saying "Could we get more [necessary class here, usually me being the only one] here?" too much?
Asking politely for a team member who is using a fairly useless class in a given situation to change is acceptable, but ranting and raging how they suck because they won't change to the class you want even though you too are using the exact same useless class as them is fucking moronic. The amount of people I see doing amazes me. At least on the TF2 FP UK server when we need a class that someone can't use well, we always know that there is someone who might be able to do the task. the hard part is getting them to do it. The main thing I hate other than the people? The fact the updates are destroying the balance and framerate of the game.
framerate of the game.
This, bloody this.
