I don't get how the map "sucks". It's a payload map, it's reasonably balanced (except for the first area of stage 3, if red is good, it's near impossible for blu to move up), and I don't see why people have such a big goddamn issue with it. And who cares if the guy's an asshole? There are millions of assholes everywhere on the planet, so what's the point of singling out one guy? If ya don't like him, don't even think about him. If you don't like the map, don't play on it. simple as that.

I've talked with him before, and no he isn't some egotistical fag (yeah, that avatar was basically it - his later maps like furnace and stark have no avatar bullshit whatsoever) and he's contributed more to mapping than just making Hoodoo - he's made multiple tutorials about advanced displacement tricks and recreated the Valve compile settings (including all the fancy self-shadowing props), and he's made quite a few more useful things that all mappers can appreciate. Most of the hate is based on the avatar or on the fact that hoodoo's second point is too close to spawn.
