Looks like cum,did you install custom skins? You should delete your tf2 folder.
Looks like cum,did you install custom skins? You should delete your tf2 folder.
don't even use skins...
Did you used some fps-configs with dx8? If so, delete them
Yeah this happened to me too, and I haven't got any custom skins installed.
mat_bumpmap 1 or if it wasn't that command, it was something else that isn't in dx80.
type in the command line "dxlevel 95" and put autoexec.cfg in the cfg folder
mat_bumpmap 1 or if it wasn't that command, it was something else that isn't in dx80.
tried this and it didn't work..
It looks like Specular maps and Normal maps are disabled. This shouldn't happen when you change DX mode. Are you sure your hardware is actually capable of using it right? Or were you just using DX8 for a FPS boost?
should try deleting my tf2 folder...... but before i try that i'll try -autoconfig [editline]13th October 2010[/editline] it will work hopefully :) [editline]1111th October 2050[/editline] allways look on the bright side....
Enable normal mapping, this is a known bug with Phong and Normal maps.
i thought you said Rong when i first read it
mat_bumpmap 1 or if it wasn't that command, it was something else that isn't in dx80.
This first of all.
mat_specular?
dx90, shit, we're stuck on dx11 at the very best right now..
Type in "mat_dxlevel" in the console and hit Enter, and it'll most likely tell you that it's set to 90. This is why you NEVER, EVER use mat_dxlevel 90 (-dxlevel 90). DX levels 80 and 81 give better performance, and levels 95 and 98 yield better quality. I'll say it again: Never use DX level 90.
There was a command so models don't look like glass, I think mat_specular 1 is that command.
