• Could use a helping hand with Ayesdyef's female Scout model

Howdy Folks, Okay, my problem is, that i've recieved alot of TF2 crashes lately and while I first thought it were those tremendous amounts of unbalanced items, I did some experiments. I think I narrowed it down to the female Scout model from Ayesdyef because whenever I use it, the game crashes after mere minutes of gaming and without it, no crash. (Tested it on several servers with the same amount of playsers.) My Question is: Would someone be so kind and take a look at the model to see if it's coding gets into conflict with the current version of the source engine. If you know of an updated version of it, that be great aswell. Thank you very much.
look at the model to see if it's coding gets into conflict with the current version of the source engine.
what You could try MaxOfS2D's version, but I don't know if it'd work due to it taking animations from it's own femscout_animations. The face animation probably won't work in-game though. Above all though, TF2 is getting a bit unstable. A custom HUD sometimes makes me crash. :v:
I first thought of that too but his model appears to be compiled as a G-Mod Model and frankly I suck horribly when it comes to recompiling player models. ^^;
I made a .QC for compiling it as an in-game model, I'll upload it, hang on a sec EDIT: here you go. http://source.maxofs2d.net/models/tf_femscout_enhanced/tf_femscout_enhanced_src.zip (edit2: updated again aaaah) Note: the backpack has been removed (but the straps are still there; for this reason, Lucky 42 recommended), and there's no facial animation whatsoever — but it works. you'll need to get the materials too, of course: http://source.maxofs2d.net/models/tf_femscout_enhanced/tf_femscout_enhanced_materials.zip

I can't thank you enough, lets just hope this will avoid any further crashes and make your work a waste of time. Thank you again. ^^

You need to compile them first. If the .QC has the right path, model files will be compiled automaticly into the right path. Otherwise it's "tf2/models/player"

Like I said "tf/models/player" [editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
you'll need to get the materials too, of course: http://source.maxofs2d.net/models/tf_femscout_enhanced/tf_femscout_enhanced_materials.zip
Ah yeah, just realised it, after I managed to compile it. XP [editline]1st December 2011[/editline] Aw for chaos sakes: Still crashes with the model. Either I f#@ked it up at some point in the compiling, it's the model in general or even completly different custom thing. I know it can't be my computer in general because even more demanding games run without crashing. Oh well, I guess I need to experiment again or live without the female scout. -.- Thank you anyway and if anybody still has an Idea, i'd be very thankful for it. ^^
