Scrap Banking- Weapons exchanged for scrap - Games

[B]*****Currently- Open :buddy:*****[/B] [I]~~If I'm on but you can't get me, try again a little later, no doubt I'm attending to one of my bodily functions~~ [/I] Hey all, If you've ever visited SPUF and then the trading section (God help you), you may have seen a bunch of people who trade their scrap for your random weapons, 2 weapons per scrap- watch and learn! [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5Z2JVBkWHc[/media] The idea is that if you have say a Southern Hospitality and a Sandvich, but need scrap, you give them to one of them and they give you a scrap. The turnover of weapons on their side allows them to craft scrap metal, which is in turn exchanged for more weapons, hence the cycle continues. For those of you who haven't heard of this, or do know but can never find anyone, I've decided to take up this service for anyone with mis-matched weapons. If you have 4 weapons that can't be crafted, trade them to me and in return you get 2 scrap for them. Much love x

What's the point of this? There's no profit had if you continue the cycle indef?

This is a great idea, actually. I've tried doing this in SPUF and trading servers but I always meet some asshat that wants to trade single weapons for scrap.

did some of this today with random players - it's quite good for filling gaps in your arsenal, and for getting rid of duplicate weapons.

I got some scrap I'll trade for your weapons. Just PM me via facepunch or add me on steam.

I've started scrap banking, it's really nice. I had somebody calling me an idiot because apparently "I could just craft one and give the other away"

This is a really neat service, really helps me out with my spare weapons :)

In theory: trader has a load of scrap and items, trades scrap for any 2 craftable items and crafts more scrap using the items he traded for. In practice: trader has a load of scrap and items, trades scrap for any 2 items. This is the motherfucker you often see on a server, spamming "TRADING ALL WEAPONS, 1 SCRAP EACH" I don't think overseeer is one of said motherfuckers tho. He's just a guy who's doing it wrong and taking the non-profit path.

He's just a guy who's doing it wrong and taking the non-profit path.[/QUOTE] Heh, yes, it is a way one could try and get 'rich', but I think I'd be scraping the bottom of the scam barrell if I spent all my time trading people for weapons, and then desperately trying to flog them to idiots with server spamming! Besides, I have pretty much everything I want in TF2, both hat and weapon wise. I have no real need for metal now anyway. I'm also around for a little bit now, if you need me!

I really don't care about TF2 items anymore, hence I don't care about the profit of it. I'm just happy to help.
