7:20 PM - Silber Wulff: if you give items without being given anything, the latter will be detected by the anti-scam system as a scammer, and ban the account in question
I know this most likely doesn't deserve a thread but... This seems like something that if true is very important.
Common sense.
What's wrong with giving people free stuff?
So if i give my friend a dupe weapon i go to valve jail? Common sense please.
Nope, no more than 10 scammers were banned, and they were reported
What's wrong with giving people free stuff?
Oh you know, nothing. This is incredibly flawed.
woah what the fuck This is horseshit
Not true. I use friends as pack mules and nothing ever happened to us. There's no automated detection system, but you CAN appeal if you think you've been scammed, by sending a Support Ticket.
"Let's enable the ability to give people items without receiving something in return and then BAN THEM FOR IT. Hahaha, the ultimate troll!" No. Use your head, man.
