I have a few demo files lying around and I want to extract just the audio from it, or more specifically, just the voice chat. Is there any way of doing this? I've already tried exporting the demo as 2 movies, one with voice_enable 0 and one with voice_enable 1, then inverting one of the audio files to see if I could isolate the voice sounds, but I can never align the two tracks properly.

I want to rate you "bad reading" so fucking hard right now.

I'm trying to extract just the voice chat, not the explosions and minigun noises and scouts spamming x-5 on top of it.
anyone?
This is a random guess as I don't know anything about how this works, but perhaps it is possible to turn off all world sounds in the demo? That way you could isolate the chat.
I know PLDX tool creates a .wav if you make movies out of demos by snipping them into .tgas, but I'm not sure if you can get the .wav without doing so.

hmm
I tried doing that but it muted the voice chat too.
The only possible way I can think of to do it would be to create a gigantic soundpack that replaces every sound in the game with silence, but that would be an absolute bore to make.
