• Unnaturally strong reflexions on some materials

So I was playing tf2 and noticed that suddenly my after eight painted summer shades look white. I in and uninstalled a lot of lightwarps, graphic mods and max fps configs so I figured that some of those fucked up the materials. I uninstalled tf2 and manually deleted the entire tf2 folder but after reinstalling the problem stil persists. The shades seemed to be the only thing that is fucked up. All my other after eight painted items are allright. But I also noticed that black metal, like the feet of the sentries shine a lot brighter than they used to. While playing today I noticed an unusual glare on someones team captain and took a screenshot. It looks like its related to why my shades are fucked up. And what's odd too is that only one bullet hole can be displayed at a time. The max fps config i had installed earlier seems to be the reason for that. I deleted the autoexec.cfg and the launch options so I have no idea why it would still be active. screenshots: [T]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542927703901717036/54EA34E2995309DCD2FDFCF270751527392CC8B9/[/T] [T]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542928136018976256/FC722B2C321C2F166DC9F1A11C77EC6C1347C5D3/[/T] Anybody got an idea how to fix this? Same thing happened to me. The DX Level kept reverting back to -8. I fixed this by putting -dxlevel 90 in my launch options and keeping it there.

Got more screens today. [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542928136029012848/8A58E5F433C9E5FB49CF6DCC4FBA2CEADC3E5380/[/t] [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542928136045109035/C4E0847C1CF944691566F2231C4E8E1A2FC8A2E7/[/t] it should help localizing the problem
It doesn't look like bumpmaps are enabled, which causes issues with specular maps if you're in DX9. To fix it, stick mat_bumpmap 1 in your autoexec.cfg, setting r_decals to 2048 (the default) will also fix only one bullet hole being displayed at a time.

Finally I can wear my shades again. Thanks a lot <3
