My Polycount weapons/L4D2 Frying Pan are missing sounds
8 replies, posted
This has been occurring for a few weeks now, and I haven't been able to find out what the problem is. Whenever I use weapons from the Mann-Conomy update, they have no firing sounds. Whenever someone else uses them, I can hear the sound just fine, but it doesn't work for me. I've already tried extracting the files with GCFScape, and that didn't work. I also tried verifying my TF2 game cache, and that didn't work either. My last option would be to delete Team Fortress 2's local content and then re-install it, but I'm not doing that until I can figure out what the problem is first. Has this been happening to anyone else, and is there any possible way to fix it?
Backup your maps folder, and delete "team fortress" folder.

I sent in a bug report a few days after I realized that no sounds were playing whenever I used the weapons, which was maybe 4-5 days after the Mann-Conomy update arrived. It's been around half a month and no such bug was addressed. :saddowns:
Yeah, go look at "valve time" page.
You'll realize when the bug will be fixed.

If you took the time to read the OP, you wouldn't have even posted that.
