Voice Chat Button Doesn't Work - Games

Lately ive been wanting to communicate better in games like tf2. So i bought a mic and was so exited. I get on tf2 make sure everything is binded and voice communications is set the "v" I join a game press "v" and nothing. No little bubble pops up. And nobody hears me!!!! I'm really frustrated and i need the help!! Please help me out!

Isn't there already a thread about this? or is this V2?

Can you see the "!" icon when you talk? Your mic might be broke so test it first.

Have you tested * type voice_enable 1 in console * enable it through options (obvious solution). * re-plug the mic and install it through your computer. * reinstall steam.

Make sure it's enabled in Volume Control. Make sure your bind is set correctly (check the controls) Make sure it's plugged in the right port (shouldn't have to say this but it happened to me) Make sure your voice isn't whiny and prepubescent before you yell at your teammates Try those.

voice_loopback 1 is good for debugging.

Can you use your mic in other applications? If not, it's probably busted. Or plugged into the wrong port.
