• TF2 Clocking way more hours than it should?

Hey, I've been noticing lately that the games I most commonly play on steam, (like TF2 for example) are recording WAY more hours played than I have played. More than twice as many, actually. here's how long I've played according to steam: And here, is how long ive played on EACH CLASS INGAME: (107+73+47+64+36+20 = about 350) It's not just TF2, the problem is also on garrysmod. I have tons of hours on garrysmod, and the number of steam hours is just about doubled. So can anyone tell me how I can stop it from happening? or at least what the cause is? I don't want people to think I spend more time playing TF2/Garrysmod than is humanly possible.
Your links aren't working. Mabye you have a little brother who plays on your account?

You are not very good with computers, are you. No idea, tho
yeah I dont know how to get the links working. But basically the hours ingame and the hours on steam are contradicting each other.

thanks, I got em working. still don't know why its doing this though.
Idling? Leaving the game one while you are not on the PC?
I don't idle. I might leave the computer on sometimes, but not that often.
The times listed in the game's stats page are the times you've spent playing as each of the classes while in a server. Time spent as spectator or time spent with the game open while not in a server are counted in the time shown on your Steam page.
Did you really put u jelly for 7 dominations?
Even if you count all the time spent spectating, idling, and leaving the computer on, that doesn't account for 300+ hours. I think there's another solution. and yes, 7.
It counts when you launch the game. For example. You launched the TF2 and left in main menu for 10 minutes. Then after that you decided to quit the game. Steam adds 10 minutes to total hours played/spend. Simple.
I see. maybe... just feels like I would spend a lot more time playing in game than w/e else I would do.
Why should it matter how many hours it shows as your playtime?
Why should it matter how many hours it shows as your playtime?
He wants to know how much time he spend/[sp]wasted[/sp] playing TF2.

How long have you had TF2 for? I know it seems like a lot but if you include maybe 30mins of "extra non-playing TF2 while game is open" time, four times a week. That's make up 2hours a week extra/100hrs a year
It's ok, OP. Your friends won't think you're lame because you have 600 hours in TF2.
Using sites like www.Niggaupload.com
How was I unaware of such a site's existence until today? I've always been looking to store my Africans in a convenient, digital place.
