is there any way to make all sprays high detail even though you play in low detail?

yeah what the title says (i saw the tut on fpsbanana and it was only for your own spray) There must be some command to make all decals high or something right?
All textures > very high, all models > low.
wont work for me only 2 gb of ram
other specs are fine though
2gb of ram is enough.

and 5 gb of disk space? i dont think so even getting set on fire makes the game crash for insufficient OS paged pool memory so i dont think it will work
there is. look on Ubercharged.net for one. there is an aticle on how to make TF2 better with commands.
-snip, read it wrong-

Yeah TF2 is about 5-6GB big, and who cares? You already have it installed so why would disk space be a problem?
i have 5gb LEFT of disk space out of 31.5 total of a parition of a hard drive on 250 GB
So? That makes no difference. If you had say, 100MB left it might make a bit of a difference because Windows requires some spare space to run correctly, but otherwise, no.
Increase the size of the partition?
I don't know any other way than having high textures or you can make sprays that appear always highest possible quality.
yeah if you make the spray without mipmaps, then its always at the highest available quality
Open the .vtf of your spray and check the "No level of Detail" flag, this makes it appear in maximum quality.

2gb of ram was good enough for me to run it all on highest settings 4aa 4af, 1650x1080, what is your gpu
also your hard drive space shouldn't matter
Sounds like your graphics card or precessor, OP.

Actually it's

Mipmaps make things look better over distances.
I think what the OP means is that he wants the sprays to be high quality but the rest of the textures to be low.

yes that is what i want and i want it to apply to ALL sprays not just my own
That's impossible, what you have to understand is that when you spray a spray the file is uploaded to the server and then precached and sprayed there. It's up to the spray's owner to do what they can (check no level of detail and add mipmaps) to their spray to make it look good no matter the gfx setting.
we use norton and its my moms computer (inb4 poor) so i cant remove the antivirus software or my mom would go nuts, i am saving up money for my own computer.

Please don't pretend you know anything about what you're talking about. It's most likely to do with your graphics card or processor.. Or both. And No, You cannot just see high quality sprays and have textures on any other setting. Buy a new computer
There's a difference between removing and disabling.

i know lot about computers, im not at the computer in question right now, im at my emac but here are the specs i remember.
2 GB ram
2.44 GHz dual core processor
ATI Radeon X1600 or something like that
I think Valve should add this as a command. It wouldn't require much from them.

If you know "a lot about computers", you'd know that "or something like that" isn't a very knowledgeable thing to say. My guess is that your computer is a store-bought computer, so naturally it was overpriced and it sucks. Buy your own custom-made and better computer or just man up and live with your shitty one. Mow some lawns and do some extra chores. Find somebody who actually knows what they're doing to build you a good computer.
First order of business to optimize your TF2's performance on the shit machine, however, is to get rid of shitty Norton and install something better. Personally I use Avast, but I'm sure there are better alternatives. Just stop using fucking Norton; that's what's causing your paged pool memory errors.
Second, give us your settings. Did you disable multi core rendering? Enable that, because it's a performance option and your computer has a dual core processor. We need more info.

Can't help you there, then. Buy a new computer.
ok i tell you everything about the computer
its store bought
its a mac
my parents haet windows because they are macfags
my mom only allowed me to use 30 GB of HDD for the windows partition
my mom thinks her computer will explode if she gets viruses on it, she has 2 anti virus programs, i uninstalled one of them and she haven't noticed
i am saving up money to build my own computer
The only other computer in the house running windows is my littlebrothers laptop which runs vista and cannot play any source game without lagging so much its inplayable (only garrysmod works when you are on flatgrass)
i have no games to any of the macs
i am bored all the time because my mom has her job at the computer and i am only allowed to use it in the morning and at night.
raet me dum

Okay, now there's REALLY nothing I can do to help you other than recommend you get your own computer. It really is worth it.
