General: Sync'd with recent changes from Team Fortress 2 Added the "no crit" attribute to The Enforcer Side Note: Play time in the Team Fortress 2 Beta counts towards earning drops in the regular version of Team Fortress 2
"Play time in the Team Fortress 2 Beta counts towards earning drops in the regular version of Team Fortress 2" I must be retarded 'cuz I don't know what this means.
"Play time in the Team Fortress 2 Beta counts towards earning drops in the regular version of Team Fortress 2" I must be retarded 'cuz I don't know what this means.
I believe you can now idle in the beta.

Is it just me or did the speed-based equalizers disappear into thin air
Is it just me or did the speed-based equalizers disappear into thin air
They're still in the schema and the catalogue, but you can't use them as items.
Clever move there, Valve. I tip my hat to you
Maybe this is just a small one before they roll something bigger out shortly? Or am I just thinking with rainbows a little too much?
They're still in the schema and the catalogue, but you can't use them as items.
That reminds me I still have the Beta Quick Fix and Beta Pocket Launcher 2. The Beta Quick Fix is awesome to use, glad I still have it :v:
I still don't get the drops part.
you get drops in tf2 while playing the beta.
At least, I can guarantee you don't drop in real game what you drop in the beta. Because that just didn't happen to me :v: (I'm serious)
you get drops in tf2 while playing the beta.
That's kinda silly, no one plays the Beta anymore.
That's kinda silly, no one plays the Beta anymore.
That's why it was added.
That's kinda silly, no one plays the Beta anymore.
That's why I thought it may be a small step to making the games more parallel.
good job valve now make it so that it uses the normal tf2 model/material/sound/map content gcfs and not another fucking ten gigabytes and i might actually PLAY the beta
Next up: Trading items to your normal TF2.
Next up: Trading items to your normal TF2.
I'd trade myself the beta quickfix in a heartbeat.
I'd trade myself the beta quickfix in a heartbeat.
Of course it'd be only items that are on both item schemes.
>Added the "no crit" attribute to The Enforcer Super smart valve 10/10 No, how about you reduce the damage to 10 or 15% and have no enemy names show up.

Seriously Valve it is not that difficult to figure out how to balance the damn thing. Maybe they have some Holy List of attributes that they must adhere to, never daring to create new ones for fear of being send to a Russian Gulag. I mean that's the only thing I can think of as to why they wont friggin' work outside their comfort zone when it comes to balancing shit like this.
That nerf is soimething peole not give a fuck about if they play on nocrit servers.
I'd probably play the Beta again if they actually used it more extensively. Balance multiple weapons, find new stats for existing boring +% -% ones people only use because they got ~*~Strange~*~ versions of it. After that's done, how about another fun experiment like double health for everyone? It was really fascinating to see the effects, I really wanted to find out and play. [editline]17th April 2012[/editline]
That nerf is soimething peole not give a fuck about if they play on nocrit servers.
Crits are part of the game, Valve doesn't balance for special game modes. Imagine the extra work for a team that doesn't even add community-contributed fixes for years old bugs and glitches.
Completely altering the way a weapon works is not "balancing" it.
Stock Flamethrower. The TF team can't really make drastic changes anymore because people have actually paid money for these things; all they can do is adjust what is already there, they can't make drastic changes to buyable items even if it would be for the best to send the thing to the drawing board.
Completely altering the way a weapon works is not "balancing" it.
So you'd rather propagate the introduction of more Soda Popper-esque weapons? Where a reward is given without having to do anything in return to achieve it? Fine. But don't start complaining when we get Rocket Launchers that mini-crit while rocket jumping.
You're from spuf aren't you?
I visit it every once in awhile, yes. As well as Reddit's TF2. And 4chan's /vg/ threads on TF2. And here as well. You can't seriously tell me that this "new" Enforcer is any better than what it was before. Lower firing speed just means that the gun gets more accurate between shots, which means Spray and Pray will be more effective than it originally was, the Health Peek block only works when the Spy isn't wearing a disguise (any Spy worth their salt is ALWAYS wearing a disguise unless they're using the YER), and the No Random Crits doesn't mean jack shit in servers and comp games where random criticals are already disabled on a global scale. This "New" Enforcer is a straight buff over the old version. And No Random Crits is just an incredibly lazy "fix" by Valve.
