Novint Falcon + Targe = Holy shit I can do figure 8's - Games

This thing is the Falcon: [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=859361[/url] I was playing TF2 yesterday, when I noticed something amusing. While playing targe demo, I could turn around corners and even do full circles while charging. It's the +left +right glitch. I thought it was patched, but then I realized that using a Novint Falcon somehow allows you to have huge maneuverability while charging with the targe. Must be the way the controls work on it; when you move your aim at the edge of the screen, you start turning smoothly like with a joystick or gamepad. I tested the limits by setting the Falcon's turn sensitivity to max, and I could pretty much spin in place while charging. Had a lot of fun on servers. And if anyone else has one, can you go and confirm this bug?

The Falcon is really fun playing with, thought it will take some time before you get good with it. And it's great in other games too, like Penumbra.

Yeah, the targe+falcon glitch has been around for as long as the targe has, and I don't think valve cares enough to fix it. It's awesome for making people call you a hacker though.

Nothing new. The Novint Falcon & Xbox 360 controller have both been able to do this since the Chargin' Targe's release. Valve may have patched +left and +right but they didn't do a thing to controllers. I'd love to have a Falcon, but I'd want to try it first to see if I like it. It seems like a lot of fun but $180-something is a little much to throw out on a whim.

I remember when we were doing a Novint game night, and half the enemy team was demos with chargin' targes. We got raped :v

The only thing that's really inconvenient is that it's hard NOT to turn with the falcon, so I end up getting banned on 50% of the servers I play on. (Still worth it.)
