Personally I hate it. It gets rid of all of the hacking, but it also makes any custom models or skins invisible. not just normal models but completly invisible. I really hate that because it ruins gameplay if you have any custom models. It just seems weird shooting an invisisble gun at people.
Whats your opinion. Do you like it or not?

I should be allowed to customise a game which promotes modding and then be able to use it online.
Fucks up my awesome skins which use custom models. They dont even have tags to tell you what is pure 1 and what isnt.
It's useful and all, and I understand why they added pure in, but it's flawed. Very, very flawed.
It's stupid. Cheaters are few and far between, and rarely is sv_pure even set up to properly prevent it. I play exclusively on sv_pure 0 servers and the last time I saw a cheater was literally over a year ago. There are far more people who use skins than there are people who use cheats that sv_pure would actually block.

I use it for audio hacks, so I hate it.
I prefer 2, atleast then I can see anything I have modded.
I hate it, it destroys my skins and makes some of them wireframe.
Since most wallhackers use wallhacks because they suck, they're not better, and there are only few.
So why every paranoid admin must ruin all my skins :argh: :argh:

I see no reason for it. It ruins custom content in every way. There just isn't a reason to stop people from adding aesthetic improvements to their game.
It's fine as long as they use a Proper whitelist instead of just blocking everything. I've redone almost all the game's skin with custom versions and i've replaced a few of the crappy models and sounds. SV_puse just turns the models into a wireframe or completely removes it. Makes the sounds high pitched noise that would blow your ears out (There is a way to use custom sounds even with sv_pure on though)

Then don't play sv_pure 1 servers.
It's fine by me; I don't use skins because I love all the content valve's put in the game.
Just an FYI to those who rated me disagree, it's not really possible to disagree that I love valve's content, but feel free to try. Also feel free to now spam me with disagrees; I expect it, if you don't I'll be dissapointed and sad.
It's useless. The default white-list doesn't even block player skins, the ones that would be used for seeing through walls. Besides, if someone really wanted to cheat, they'd just go get an aimbot. :v:

it's not that simple
there's no way to check if a server is sv_pure 1 in the server list unless some admin is nice enough to put pure or something in the tags
if you do join one by accident you have to restart the game if you want your modded shit to work again

I coudl tell BEFORE I enter a server.
It replaces my custom stuff with purely the origional, not invisible/wireframe/textureless.
It doesn't screw up a sound by making it a sped up version of hte origional, followed by an ear-rape screech.
I just hate when a server blocks everything.
Like honestly, how am I gonna cheat with my reskinned v_models?
I just favorite all servers I go to that don't have sv_pure on it. Then I use my favorites as my normal server list!
My custom skins don't go invisible when I go on a server with Sv_pure 1, it just uses the original model/skin instead of what I downloaded.
