Although proof that you're a good enemy, it's annoying getting hunted down - Games

You're in a game, you're dominating about two or three people (or more) and there are 16 players on the enemy team. You just [b]happen[/b] to be a sniper. What the fuck is this? Is it Hunting season for Snipers? The fucking scouts keep hunting me down, sometimes the entire enemy team go as spies and try to kill [i]me[/i], instead of the other snipers on like 1 bar of health. :confused: I know that you're picking off their team and making it hard for them, I've been in that position, but why the fuck is it a tactic for the whole team of 16 players to suddenly change their classes to Scouts (mostly this) and Spies (rarely this? :what:). God damn. One moment, I decided to join a cp_orange_x (:downs: incoming) and snipe some people, because my week was made horribly worse by my "girlfriend". But anyway, I managed to get 90 kills in the hour and hardly any deaths, when our team starts asking where the other team have gone. They're on the server, they're just nowhere to be found. All of a sudden ho-ly-fucking shit, a wave of spies suddenly uncloak behind me (2 of them are missing, killing off the team that are capturing) and start shooting me. As you would expect, I died instantly. :frog: Post your "I'm getting hunted down" moments. P.S. I get hunted down all the time cause im amazing and such. :smug:

Snipers are supposed to be hunted by Scouts, they are stationary Scout food also use less emotes

I hunted down a speed hacker and killed him. I felt so proud.

What pisses me off more is when Im like a scout, and I see a heavy fire at me across the bridge, so I jump into the water and instead of advancing the charge the heavy is making, he jumps down and chases me across the map to kill me. its really strange

I thought it would be fun to go play with my new skin for the pistol, The American Dream. Went battle engie with it alone, managed to get 4 dominations, 1 of which was a heavy. I found out they were planning something through team chat, since a few people were using regular chat, they than sprung a trap on me to get me. So much fire...

Man, you must be fucking good. Having their whole team ditching their objectives just to kill you.

It's more common than you think. It just seems to happen rarely for some reason. (Contradiction here :v:) It's a pain in the ass on 2fort. You have to stay in your spawn because that heavy battalion outside both spawns is waiting for [i]YOU[/i]. Professional snipers are powerful creatures, if not dealt with quickly, they can kill you stone-cold dead with one little effort. That is why their kind are hunted so, to prevent them from hunting the other team.

If you dominate someone, expect them to do anything to get revenge.

I enjoy hunting down Scouts. Dominating them is so satisfying. :dance: Never really been hunted down though. Even when I'm playing Medic, I'm occasionally hit by the random forgotten critical grenade, but other than that nothing else. Also they want to get revenge on you. You have this giant nemesis sign above your head, no big surprise.

It's quite saddistic that I'm rarely dominated. I forgot what the nemesis sign above your dominator looks like :saddowns:

Everyone hates snipers on orange maps. But in other maps, yeah it's a pain. I just wish I could remove certain spy achievements so I could rub it in a persons face when they change class to pyro after being kill by me(as a spy).

I like snipers that insert themselves into the battle. Like using jarate to help their team, getting on the point to defend, etc. I don't mind being killed by them. It's the 2 mile away bodyshot snipers that really piss me off.

Also, I just love stalking people with the Backburner. Slowly lurching behind someone, waiting to get on range and then unleashing an unholy storm of crits on his back is the best feeling.

I love repeatedly tauntkiling retard snipers on harvest who don't know such advanced tactics as "looking behind corners" or "looking at the minigun jutting out of the corner" or "turning off your scope when you hear fighting 1m away from you" or perhaps even "moving out of the way when a Heavy is in showdown instead of standing perfectly stil, trying to noscope him"

Sniper is only fun to play when your in a safe but rarley checked location, or there are no other snipers. But all i find is if you kill someone enough as sniper they go spy or sniper.

I was once playing BLU pyro on Badwater. We had just captured the first point and were getting assraped by RED heavies. I spotted a sniper near the second point and positioned myself between him and the spawn doors so there was no escape. I subsequently chased him across the entire map until I cornered him near the final point, and Axtinguished him to death. That sniper proceeded to target me, and only me, for the whole game.

it's really fun playing as a revolver-only spy, i draw so much fucking aggro it's like playing an MMO [editline]08:58PM[/editline] spies trigger some kind of inherent kill-switch in the brains of players that forces them to hunt you down instead of going for the objective
