Recently i downloaded an animated .vtf spray, when i tried to make it my spray through the multiplayer option in-game, it doesn't accept it, this is also the same with any spray i try to install..
Any suggestions/help?

It just stays blank, no message, nothing.
It's probably a corrupted image, or maybe you disabled sprays
Did you put it in the spray path? Eg. \team fortress 2\tf\materials\VGUI\logos\
It could also be your decal level is under 200, or the animated spray is too big.
Do this:
Copy the animated logo to \team fortress 2\tf\materials\VGUI\logos
Open \team fortress 2\tf\cfg\config.cfg
Search for the line starting with cl_logofile and edit it according to the logo's name: cl_logofile "materials/vgui/logos/[b]logofile.vtf[/b]"
Now open TF2 and join/create a server and test your spray, no need to edit the settings

It only happens to .vtf files, i just uploaded a .bmp file for a spray fine.
And ill try xyx's method just now.
