What's crate hats?
EDIT:
Nevermind. I got it now.
You forgot the part where item value isn't actual, it's based on the people in the trade.
Eye of the beholder friend. :trashbear:
:effort:
Oh, wow thanks for enlightening me.
Btw, want to trade my Saxton for eight hats of yours?
The value of an item is based on the persons trading, you might think someone is doing a bad trade, but it's a great trade in that person's opinion.
Why open a thread if you don't know anything about the values
I would gladly trade my Sergeant's Drill Hat for a Napper's respite. :colbert:
God, I want a pyro hat so badly. :frown:

Someone is giving it to me. Stop asking me about it.

alright, my vintage Baseball Bill's Sports Shine for your vintage hound dog or your vintage vintage merryweather.
You are one of the guys who think when someone trades a, let's say, Hound Dog for a Trophy Belt it's obviously the worst trade ever.
All that matters is personal taste and preferences.
In a trading economy no single item can be assigned a value because the value changes with every single person, as something you deem invaluable can be of great value to someone else.
People have the definition of "Scam" all wrong. You can't get scammed if you're willing to trade something. You can only get scammed if you want one thing, but the person gives you another.
For example, if you're willing to trade 5-6 hats for a Service Medal, then you weren't scammed. You were willing to trade all of the hats for it.
who wants my Medic Paper Mask i want 8 hats
Trading Ghastlier Gibus and parasite for eight hats. That's two promotional hats at the price of one. Don't miss out on this deal of a lifetime.
You can't put a set value on anything, in any video game "economic". It's all about supply and demand.
Low amount of peoples want nappers & sombreros because everyone thinks they're common. There's lots of supply, but no demand. Now, look at lets say, the hound dog. It's a very popular hat and most people want it. Now, since there's lots of demand for it, it gets a higher value. Same with all the new hats that come, the first days the demand is extremely high, aka everyone want it, but there's almost no supplies, but when there starts coming more supplies and the demand starts being satisfied, it loses its value.
item values don't exist, am I right??
I've got a nappers respite, looking for unusuals... 2 might seal the deal ;)
Value and preference... different things really. Some people will pay more for something they really want, even if it's just a normal weapon.
What annoys me is that everyone hears of these trades and expects that everyone will give them a ridiculous offer.
This thread is irrelevant, items should be 1:1 but they aren't. How much something is wanted is specific to each user, sure there are well known items (like max set) that are worth more from increased want for them, but I bet you there are quite a few people that would just trade them for 1 hat just because they like it. People create there own item values, it's just there is a bigger general value for things like unusuals and earbuds etc.

Yeah, no.
Good thing I already scammed someone for his Fez for my Cheiftain's Challenge. I would have had to give him like 30 of them if I went by this thread.
Oh so you wanted to know what the problem is? Here's the problem OP: there are no item values.
You're an idiot.
This thread AGAIN?
No, seriously, the items value is a personal thing.
Vintage hardly makes that much of a difference
