Facepunch's Favorite Servers? - Games

Hello, What servers do the Facepunch TF2 community generally play on? What are the best places, the best communitys, ( are they sv_pure or not), etc.

[sp]Legion of Ponies[/sp] when I feel like a challenge. Almost every player on their servers knows about good teamwork and cooperation, not to mention there's some really good players that are server regulars. Makes the game really challenging, and the people on there are rather nice. The two negatives for the server I can come up with are that micspamming is allowed, but that's what the mute button is for. Secondly, and probably the biggest turn of for others would be [sp]ponies.[/sp] If you look past that, I'm sure you would find a good challenge on there.

As far as I'm concerned they can keep it as long as I can play in peace without having to wait 5 bloody seconds for them to tell me my country isn't eligible for the damned thing anyway and have stupid ads play in the background, [I]while I'm playing[/I] and then causing me to lag as a result, which in turn, triggers off their ping warning.

My latency won't go below 400 whenever I join that server. It's funny because the browser says it's around 20 or something. And yeah, forced MOTDs really ruins it.

I enjoy FuG as a great casual community server. Despite it's horrid motd and name, =LoLwut is a really nice dm_mariokart server, with a nice community. Only problem is a few bad apples in the barrel, but they're easily shut up with logic.

Rocket blast. I'm not sure but I think they have pure enabled. Great servers nonetheless.

Nemu battleground if you want stock. Only problem, the server is SV_pure 1 which fuck you up if you have any mod. For MvM Gentlemann's State~ is a good one.

Raging-Gamers 24/7 2fort_saraya yeah i said 24/7 2fort try and stop me you won't also because i made a daytime/nighttime 2fort saraya edit for them that eliminates all clipping and snagging issues, and made the additional room added in that version look good. they switch from day to night based on votes every 2 hours or so. i also occasionally make holiday-themed versions of that map for them like halloween and winter. aside from obligations, their mod team is a bunch of cool-headed 30-somethings that are too old for the normal bs server admin drama i often run into. my joke answer is =(eGo)=

SourceOP Valve Maps has a lot of good people on it

I am quite fond of RocketBlast. Decent players and I get like 10-30 ping to the servers. And of course, [sp]The Furry Pound[/sp]. Quite a few pretty decent players, and it seems very common to see those "wow, I disabled sprays and went on those servers and they are great!" stories.

I usually play on Priests of Wololo, sometimes I go to Steel and Stone if the server is full or if I feel like hearing people talk/ playing other maps. Yeah, Spanish servers. Both are good communities with their good regulars and usually they share players.

I heard from a few people that the furry servers are actually pretty decent if you disable sprays. Is this true?

I personally think it's because furries seem to not bring up their fandom craziness over mic/micspam and text chat as much as many other fandoms. Disable sprays and it's most of the time just another server, maybe with a MOTD with cartoon animals in them but that's pretty much it. But of course they have sprays. And avatars + names, but getting worked up over those two things is just plain silly to begin with. They do have a relatively high chance of circlejerkery in the form of teamstacking, however.

the gravity bong is a pretty chill server most of the time. i'm down with it most of the time just because the admins aren't assholes.

I would like to play on a FP server. Is the rocket blast servers Reddit's servers? I like the rocket blast ones. Also the Valve servers are nice whenever you want a full team of spies with gibuses.

RUGC (reddit Unofficial Gaming Community) servers are reddit. They have random crits and spread disabled, since reddit is more comp oriented than FP (they do weekend shenanigans though). Rocket Blast is Rocket Blast, I don't play there often but they're also "high-skill pubs" The Bitter Taste of Tea, the FP server, is absolutely chill. They allow micspam and there aren't many regulars so you get to know them quickly.

Southern Cross Gaming is OK, great for very laid back and not-serious gaming. [sp]It's a furry server, though.[/sp]

GoingPlaces: custom map rotation with no crits/spread. Usually only fills early evening, but the skill level overall is good and the players are a tight knit and friendly bunch.
