I never used steamrep for trades originally, but now I find a shitton of people are caring about it. I've seen these admins and all the stuff they have, some of them are legit, some are not. I looked through someone named "Acesgamer" in the middleman list, and apparently he had a youtube, I looked, and from all his trading tips videos he just seemed like a sharker. What is your opinion on all these guys? And who do you think is the worst of them?

Also, I'd hardly call what I do "sharking" if it's a ladder trade where only ~10~20% profit is gained per trade. Look for people who are willing to overpay for an item because they need it. You know, supply and demand?

Really, because I can quote you saying on a trading tips video: "I just fish out good deals, find the kids who don't know about TF2 much or the economy" And right then and there you told us how to find noobs to shark. Ones with no avatar, bad grammar, ect. Supply and demand is bullshit, I can't get an item sold because I'm not a huge trader, even though I want to become one, it's retarded all this selling and buying shit. Because I have to buy for way too much and then I have to sell other stuff for too damn low.

Seriously man, six, almost 7 minutes is not a quick video. 2 minutes is a quick video. If you're going to explain something, fucking explain it. Don't talk about your stupid fucking accent, that wastes time.
To be honest, SteamRep CAN be a useful tool. However, they're gaining a bit too much power. Even then, you don't need it to check for scammers, your mind can using a thing called common sense.
Some of the reasons they mark people as so-called scammers are just dumb. Even trading with a scammer can get you marked as a scammer when you didn't scam anything from anyone. Their rationale? "You help them profit". They're going to find it anyways through other means, so why bother?
Counter-scamming is one of the more controversial ones. Say there was a robber in your house about to shoot you, and you had a gun as well. What would you do? You'd exercise your right to bear arms in the US and your right to defend your own property by shooting the bastard. If they were the police, you'd get a life sentence/DP. However, IRL, this would not be the case. No jury in the world would say you did anything wrong. At most you'd get a slap on the wrist, but your actions would be viewed as heroic.
Counter-scamming is taking the scammer's toys away. Gives them a taste of their own medicine, much like a robbery. However, you could even view this as hypocrisy as you are taking their profit away. Some of the victims would LOVE to see their items back without needing for Steam support to dupe the items. Therefore, SteamRep could be considered unconstitutional for not allowing the right to defend your items.
With PayPal scams, sometimes info is given out about the scammer's identity. It could also be considered as a dox site. Though name and shame and then walk away is the best thing to do, don't you think that takes it a bit too far? Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there would be comments on the WOT page of SteamRep saying "this is a site for dox". Because the more sensitive PayPal information is private, the site could be named illegal in some cases for invasion of privacy as PP info is between four parties: the victim, the scammer, the credit card company, and PayPal. Luckily for them the scammer list is made private to admins, but a subpoena could be placed on their host to get it and look at which reasons have personal info. The scammers would actually have a legal standing if the admins release real info.

really, i do, but i dont wanna get in trouble with steamrep. im not allowed to say anything bad about community admins even though i don't even get access to admin stuff on the steamrep forums but uh
they're all cool!!!!
I found the same community shouldn't handle something like Steamrep, Valve should make his own database but since Valve now don't want to work and slip away giving the job to the players makes everything wrong.
Is impossible to have a clean sistem when pretty much every big trader out there have dirty tricks in they files.
