Does anyone here play TF2 on either the Xbox 360 or PS3? Is there any reason to besides not being able to run it on your PC?
Who all here plays TF2 on consoles?

I used to play, but the crowd is thinning in the xbox version and the lack of updates was pretty much the last straw.
The pc version has alot more content and alot more people to play with. Besides, now that it went F2P there really isn't much excuse not to play. :v:

I guess you could play console version to dick around with all the old exploits and glitches.
Yeah my friend gave me The Orange Box for the 360 but I haven't yet tried it. I'm kind of excited to see what it will be like.
Oh man the nostalgic vanilla tf2

I remember playing on Nova Prospect, one time :v:
Isnt sv_cheats enabled by default on consoles because there isnt console access or something? Ive seen people do some crazy shit in source games on xbox.

I'm pretty sure because low gravity servers and other weird mods were pretty common when i played it 2ish years ago.
I stopped playing because my disc got scratched. Plus, I got a new PC that can actually run TF2.

Yeah, I had it on the Xbox. There was rarely a server I went on where people did all kinds of shit. You can spawn HL2 models and npcs. Hell, there even playable HL2 maps.
Didn't you just have to attach one of those keyboards to use cheats?

They patched it on the 360 version, but the PS3 version is still unpatched since EA runs that version and they just don't care anymore.
The funny part is, though, that the PS3 version uses dedicated servers run by EA (whereas the 360 version uses peer-to-peer connection), so EA could at any time just set sv_cheats 0 on their servers to fix the problem. They really, truly don't give a shit. Actually, I'm surprised that they haven't shut down the servers for that.
Last time I tried to play the PS3 version, there was only one populated server and when I joined, someone had ent_removed the intelligence on 2fort and was backstabbing everyone in spawn. :v:
I once remember playing an Engineer-only match on 2fort.
Worst stalemate ever.
-snip-
I am surprised the servers are still up. I really want to try it out. It's like entering a time machine.
I love the soldier though. 40 rockets is a fun time.
I remember using the 360 version to get into the skybox on 2fort as an engie, good times.
XBox version is horribly broken as of late. I got on it, and people were using ent_fire to "infect" console commands to other players, such as binds. Also low gravity.

Vanilla is true as the guy said, although it is nice to play some games on a bigger tv over xbox live, it is just different. Xbox live is not really comparable to PC games. Different way of playing. I enjoy both actually, There are a few games I have played both on PC and Xbox and they both play in different ways, although maybe it is a good thing all the updates did not happen because it is still a great game without all the updates. Just feels like the xbox was missing out for some time but I kind of got over that.
I still play TF2 on Xbox occasionally; why I played it just yesterday. My PC can't exactly run TF2 perfectly, but it can run it good enough for me to play it with about 30-40 fps. I really play console still though because it's a nice break from all the hats, ridiculous weapons, etc. The communit on consoles is small, but there's still new people joining it surprisingly enough. I'm going to check the leaderboards right now to see how many people still play it frequently. [sp]for some reason the stats leaderboards reset every week or 2[/sp]

There's currently 41,341 people who have played TF2 on Xbox recently. Don't know about PS3.
I keep getting stuck with joining idiots who make single class only servers. The last one I played was all spies.
Haha, one of my friends was a pro-hacker (TM) and he bound my D-PAD to noclip, buddha (or w/e), something that crashed servers, and something that put all players except me on one team and they couldn't switch.
yeah, no one mods anymore on the 360. I have been playing the 360 version for 5 years and it never seems to get boring. Maybe its how easy the players are and how you can just mess around with them but even though the game only has like 6 maps and only default weapons, somthing kept dragging me towards it. Maybe it was the community, I dunno.
And then 5 days ago I built a gaming pc and found out how much I was missing out, so yeah.
