The bad boy in question that I want to try to use as a spray:

It seems to be an extremely convoluted process, manually atleast, I exported all of the frames to Bitmap, and I know i can turn them into TGA files, but is there a simpler, more direct way of making it VTF?
I've searched older threads to come up with a once apparently miraculous program that did the job for you, Spraygen, but it seems to be broken now for whatever reason.
Download VTFedit, it makes this easier.
1) Break the gif into seperate frames
2) Select some frames (you'll most likely have to lose a few) so that it does not exceed filesize
3) open VTFedit
4) click open and select the frames you chose in step 2 (select all of them here, remember, not one at a time)
5) Press play, it should show you what it will look like ingame, if it's good then save it as a VTF and create a VMT, then you'll have your spray.
^ Never knew that. Thanks
How many frames and I'll do it for you.

That's amazing.
What is amazing, the gif?
Both, I guess.
I shouldn't have put "amazing". It's more trippy than amazing.
Spraygen still works for me, what was the problem with yours, ishmael?
Hi, i think you meant Import not Open to add the jpg frames to VTFedit. How do i slow down the pace? i added 3 images and it goes super fast, plz reply.

vtfedit plays the texture really fast, use it in game and it should be a regular speed.
