Yo, a little help here? - Games

What the hell is with teamwork nowadays? Pyros off killing and flaming randomly, medics RUSHING to the nearest heavy to uber and fuck up the nearest sentries. The thing is, back in 2007 (before I was hacked sadly), people used to actually use TEAMWORK! The only reason I'm ranting about this particular subject is that, just a minute ago, I was on 2fort. Well, I am pretty good at scout, and I was sandmanning people left and right, then I gunned it for the intel as fast as my little twitchy legs could go. I was running back to my team's base when I caught a glimpse of 2 pyros, a medic, and a soldier, and they didn't even look at me. Like it was a random scout. It was the last match for 2fort, too! We were about to lose and I was capping the intel singlehandedly. It made me mad, not one pyro, not one medic, not one soldier, not one heavy, they all just ran towards Red's base hoping to dominate someone. I felt happy capping the intel, but come on! Another time I was on 2fort, I was playing as sniper with about 12 people on that server. Well, I wanted to prove to the other players that I wasn't a stupid noob that had just bought the game (This is after the hacking I had), so I go, with rifle, SMG, and kukri. I was running at the Blu base with my SMG in hand, I ran to the intel (I took the entrance next to their spawn, seemed like a better plan...) when I met a pyro, sitting at the end of the hallway with that hapless W+M1 look on his face, I went scoped, headshotted, and RAN. He burned me, and with 24 health, I capped the intel all the way from one end of the map to the other with NO ONE helping me. No these are not boasting stories of my triumphs, these are merely examples of the NO teamwork in TF2, I ran to a pyro hoping that he would air blast the flames off of me (we were on the desert 2fort.) and he just ran past me, going straight for a heavy. Has anyone else noticed this problem with people? But then again Dustbowl's aways fun right? ...RIGHT?!

I help anyone with the intel. I try and protect people occasionally but only offensively. (Shooting a rocket at a guy who is about to point blank kill them or backstab them.) I work along with medics and make sure not to use my equalizer. I play as a team member. Some people don't. Find better servers that work with you instead of working alone.

Because making sure you aren't on fire requires a thorough inspection past a glance. And if someone were going to attack you, they'd be very near you. As a scout, you can get away faster than they can follow...so if they were going to kill you I think they'd be more focused on the team of enemies that's RIGHT NEXT TO THEM

2fort is terrible for teamwork.

The most lone class (spy is more team based then scout,(Sap sentries then soldier or demo runs in and blows it all to hell), Scout is too fast for us to turn around and follow. Sometimes scouts run too fast and we don't even notice you and just keep walking. If you are a slow class like another soldier I'll turn around and follow you out and protect your ass so we can win.

Like how CTF turns into a deathmatch instead. I know how it feels when you capture the intel with extreme ease only to realize that you're the only one who cares about the real goal of the game.

As a scout, you are supposed to be a extension of the team, you are too fast for your teammates and therefore scouts are only team-effective in packs of scouts where they can co-ordinate at the same speed. -Scouts are loners at the frontline Snipers are loners at the backend doing their long-range support since they dont have the close-range raw firepower of other classes, at medium range they are even outclassed by a revolver spy. -snipers are loners at the backend doing support. So, if you are not playing a team pivotal class dont expect teammates to protect you. What you should rage about is that teammates don't look after your back when you're a heavy.
