• Custom skins have an extremely yellow tint.

So, A few days ago, I went to install a skin for the heavy. I deleted my previous skin and installed this one. (It was a sweater) Now, the new skin and all other custom skins have an extremely yellow tint. I can only get rid of it when I delete my current custom skin and use the default one. It appears in the class selection screen and ingame, but not on the class customization screen (Where you equip has and weapons and such). In that screen, it appears completely transparent, as if someone made the transparency on that particular part of the skin 100% Now, I ask my fellow facepuncher's for help. (If you're wondering about the weird marks in the Heavy's skin, I had a different normal map installed at that time. I completely uninstalled EVERYTHING at one point and installed a new skin (not the sweater one I have now) and it was still yellow)

Just wait a tick or call a medic, the effect will wear off.
Just wait a tick or call a medic, the effect will wear off.
Are you saying this will just wear off? Or are you making a suggestion at the models being covered in Jarate. -.-
Or you could cover you body with water, but that really depends on what map you are playing.
Problem was solved long, LONG ago. It's Jarate based. Look in the skin's .vmt
What happened to the pyro icon? Anyway, post the skin you're trying to install. Also, transparent models is a common bug with the customization screen - it even occasionally occurs with the defaults.
What happened to the pyro icon?
New fem pyro skin with terribad jigglebones.
New fem pyro skin with terribad jigglebones.
I deleted all of them, they were horrible. I neglected to delete the class icons though. :v: Link to the download page- http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/download/68881

That's one badass minibike that kid got there.
What to do with custom skins that don't get a yellow tint when they get hit by jarate? I'm having that problem with this: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/35158
Don't use such ugly skins?
Don't use such ugly skins?
Since I installed that one, it was for ALL custom skins I put on the heavy. :l
i see you tried to install that one pyro female mod :v:
That one of about 5.
Notice the word "yellow"? It should be in the VMT files. Delete all lines with yellow and it should be fixed. Heres an example
"VertexLitGeneric" { "$basetexture" "models/player/hvyweapon/head_bear_blue" // $bumpmap is a shared 16x16 flat normal map, and is needed or lightwarp won't shade correctly. //"$bumpmap" "models/player/shared/shared_normal" "$detail" "effects/tiledfire/fireLayeredSlowTiled512.vtf" "$detailscale" "1" "$detailblendfactor" .01 "$detailblendmode" 6 "$yellow" "0" "$one" "1" // "$bbqamount" "1" // "$two" "2.35" // "$one" "1" // "$absburnminusone" "1" // "$burnminusone" "1" // "$finalburnlevel" "1" // "$burnlevel" "0" "$phong" "1" "$phongexponent" "15" "$phongboost" ".2" //"$lightwarptexture" "models/player/pyro/pyro_lightwarp" "$phongfresnelranges" "[.3 1 5]" "$halflambert" "0" // Rim lighting parameters "$rimlight" "1" // To enable rim lighting (requires phong) "$rimlightexponent" "3" // Exponent for phong component of rim lighting "$rimlightboost" "2" // Boost for ambient cube component of rim lighting // Cloaking "$cloakPassEnabled" "1" "360?$color2" "[ 0.8 0.8 0.8 ]" "Proxies" { "spy_invis" { } "AnimatedTexture" { "animatedtexturevar" "$detail" "animatedtextureframenumvar" "$detailframe" "animatedtextureframerate" 30 } "BurnLevel" { "resultVar" "$detailblendfactor" } "YellowLevel" { "resultVar" "$yellow" } "Add" { "srcVar1" "$yellow" "srcVar2" "$one" "resultVar" "$color2[0]" } "Add" { "srcVar1" "$yellow" "srcVar2" "$one" "resultVar" "$color2[1]" } } }
