So Neca makes TF2 action figures, Gamingheads makes TF2 statues, and now 3A is going to make a Robo-Heavy statue. Seems like they'd be better off going with one toy maker for all their needs.

I need to find a new way to finish my demo collection without paying a fuckton of metal for an ugly hat.

Good morning new thread! Looking forward to actual speculation and not nonsensical non-speculation-ness. A man can dream...

I hope we receive lots of TF2 media from the actual team this year, whether they be in relation to an update or not. I'd love to see more short films like the one we got for last year's Saxxy Awards. Of course the 15 minute film is highly anticipated as well.

For some reason I thought they'd replace the 9 hats with 9 more hats to kind of soften the load. Last week's patch was super light, half the notes were from stuff from last week. Any other part of the year a light patch would mean something is up, but January/February have never been strong months for TF2 updates, so it's hard to tell. Considering this thread will probably take us through March, we have a lot more things to think about. Where are they going with retirement in the future? Why do weapon/metal recipes have schema toggles now to instantly disable them? One thing, I think the next update won't be MvM focused. MvM is, sadly, not quite the smash hit it seemed to be and focusing all their energy on that will seem futile to the community (it already kind of did with Christmas). MannUp probably brings in money, but could that money been brought in via new hats/weapons without the work needed for new MvM stuff?

Has anyone received their action figures yet?

Engy bot rises against Grey, realizing there's more to life then hat factories. He steals a robot factory and begins producing friendly versions of robots. Ones that don't hat humans, but fight along with them. Begrudged that they are no longer employed or needed by anyone, the BLU team decides to ally with Grey. Grey takes his robots and configures them to fight with BLU team players and together they will destroy RED and the engy bot and take Mannco! Suddenly we have a new mode, Robots and Humans versus Humans and Robots. There's a neutral bomb at the center of the map, only robots can carry it, and the humans have to help the robots move the bomb to the enemy base, while fighting off enemy robots and humans. One robot for each player, with a max of 8 players per team. It works like a neutral CTF mode, except only bots can cap the flag. Maps would be modified KOTH maps like Badlands and Sawmill.
