I made a simple little utility that takes a bunch of steam id's and searches for specific leveled items. Thought the few collectors out there might find this helpful. https://github.com/severhale/LevelScanner The executable jar is in the "target" folder All source is available, so if someone wants to check over it and make sure there aren't any keyloggers hidden in there or anything, go ahead! I want to make it clear that this is different from a server scanner, which is used for sharking - getting expensive items off of inexperienced players. Instead of scanning for valuable items, this scans for certain leveled items. This is a utility to ease some of the difficulties of level collecting, and to help out the rest of the server too since no one wants to see someone spamming "Buying all level 99 items! Buying all level 99 items!" when no one on the server actually has any. Happy hunting!
Loving the white knights who rated dumb instantly because they saw the word scanner and didn't read any further. I never understood why people take sharking so seriously
Retardation
I never understood why people take sharking so seriously

Retardation
This is just begging for a shitstorm
Because the TF2 economy is retarded in the first place
This is just begging for a shitstorm
You'd like that wouldn't you :-)
Pretty neatly made bro.
I can't wait for people to add me because I have a level 23 Faglord's Fedora, because on the 23rd of Janbuary 8 men got shot by a guy wearing a fedora and it's themed or some shit.
go climb a wall of dicks xD XD (User was banned for this post ("Shitposting" - MaxOfS2D))
You'd like that wouldn't you :-)
OH I WOULD
it crashes for me after I press "grab"
Added an executable called LevelScanner.exe that will run with a console window. The console window should show any errors you're having so if you could try running it like you did before except with the executable and then paste the output in the window in here, I could try to help you out.
"omg sharking ban" was a rule made by hypocrites. pretty much everybody who condemns it nowadays, used to do it until people were catching on and more people began to do it and the greedy rich players didn't want to share their free money so they banned anybody who did it. people still sharked after that lol. it's not really possible to catch somebody who sharks unless you specifically monitor their backpack.
Or maybe, you know, there has always been people who dislike the idea of abusing newer players' lack of knowledge for personal gain?
Haha no, "sharking" used to be cool to everyone. Then some faglord called Scorpion decided "Omg dis is wrong QQ" after "collecting" over 50 max heads. Being a big name on SourceOP is was easy for everyone to kiss his ass and follow suit, and now it's Baaaddd. Get educated son.
Hate to interrupt your argument, but I was hoping for some feedback on this. Anyone found bugs, glitches or anything? I want to make this as good as it can be.
Honestly the wrong place for your tool.
oh wait, the opinion on sharking is bad now? lol last time i sharked everyone worshipped the idea
I play the game. I feel weird :v:
You can both play the game and know about this.
Hate to interrupt your argument, but I was hoping for some feedback on this. Anyone found bugs, glitches or anything? I want to make this as good as it can be.
Check my post. It freezes after i press grab.

Otherwise I have nothing to go on.
Check my post. It freezes after i press grab.
Also, I haven't put in any indicator of whether it's fetching items or what and it can take up to 2 or 3 minutes if there are a lot of players. It's possible it's just working on it, maybe your internet connection is a little slow so it takes longer than usual.
For me it doesn't even start. Why? [editline]20th December 2012[/editline] (ah shit sorry about the mouse cursor in the screenshot)
That can happen if you try to run it outside of the folder you downloaded it in. Try redownloading, extracting and running the jar in the exact same place it was extracted to.

Download as a zip, extract, run jar or exe. Its just that there are numerous libraries and dependencies, and in my experience that problem has only happened when trying to run the program in a different location.
