hi peeps.
hoping someone can help =\
i have a few accounts i idle with, and i've noticed recently that my xbox controller seems to be interfering with the idle accounts. for example, i load the accounts to idle, then launch a game such as sonic and all star racing on my main account and play that game with my xbox controller. an hour or so later, i notice that at least 10 of my items have been randomly deleted from my inventory.
turns out that even tho the game is not the active window (and in text mode too), the inputs from the controller are not only being used in the game im playing, but also the tf2 idle account. so i've been deleting items out of my inventory because of this.
i launch tf2 with the -nojoy switch. its disabled at the beginning, but once i make/connect to my local sever, the controller randomly becomes active. this occurs both in text mode and using the interface.
i have no idea how to fix this!!! -nojoy doens't seem to help, and exec undo360controller or whatever doesn't work either.
anyone have any ideas? is there a way to permanently disable the controller from tf2?
hope that made sense...
cheers
is the controller plugged in when you start TF2?

yeah, i usually have it plugged in before i start. i'll try loading tf2 first and then plug the controller in and i'll see what happens.
yeah, do that. TF2 doesn't normally recognise anything that's plugged in after it starts. Hell, even unplugging it by accident while playing then trying to reconnect doesn't work.

Could make a custom x360 script that unbinds all the controller keys on launch
