Hey, I tried to google this and search for it but I couldn't find anything. I've heard that you can make a voodoo juju/skull clean by buying gift wrap and trading it to someone and then back? Does anyone know how to do it exactly?
Get haunted scrap metal, get 4 refined metal, craft, get random halloween hat.
I think that's the recipe, but I may be wrong.
This is not possible anymore, or atleast to my knowledge
I think I've heard you needed to gift wrap your Haunted Metal, send it to a friend who sends it back, and then craft it to have it clean.
Clean? Whatchoo mean clean? I don't think gift wrapping changes its skins or effects.
Clean = Tradable, no gift-tag etc.

damn you
I wondered what everyone kept saying CLEAN HATS for.

They patched this. You can't make clean halloween hats/headtakers anymore afaik.

Damnit, so why am i keeping my haunted metal? :frown:
this whole... clean/dirty stuff is pointless in my opinion, its just the trading communities way of being more jewish and get people to make 'bad deals' on hats, IF ANYTHING the hat should be worth more when it was gifted.

and how would making it worth more be possible
Read TF2 wiki
and how would making it worth more be possible
because whoever bought the gift wrap used it on the item, therefore making the item worth more. same goes with nametags paint and description. IMO, if someone spent the time to nametag, paint, change the description, and gift wrap something, id trade them at least 2 hats for it, screw this vintage crap, someone pour there fucking soul into that hat.

Not true, I crafted my Headtaker yesterday.
With a tradable or untradable metal? If untradable, your axe is untradable thus not clean.
The axe i have is tradable, but I think it turns untradable if I craft it with 2 refined
Uhhh you can't craft the axe with 2 refined dude.
The axe, juju, and skull will only be tradeable if they were crafted with a haunted metal scrap that has been gift wrapped at any point.
There was another way to get a tradeable axe, too: Within the first few hours of the Halloween update being released, axes that were crafted were tradeable no matter what.

No, I mean I already have the unusual axe and its tradable. If I craft the axe + 2 refined is what I mean
My voodoo juju wasn't tradeable, as it was stated, but couple days later it was tradeable. Just wait couple days or so, i guess.
My Skull I crafted wasn't trade-able, then after the patch to make the Headtaker trade-able allowed it to be trade-able. Never touched gift wrap.
I didn't know what clean meant, apparently I'm dumb for not being retardedly obsessed with the trading system.
Informative, if you use SAM (Steam Achievement Manager) to unlock the gored achievement, the resulting haunted scrap was tradeable. My brother did this after the patch was released and all, and he could trade his without a problem.
Hmm, I thought 2 refined + axe = halloween hat? Did they remove the blueprint?
Keeping my metal just in case next year it becomes craftable or obtainable again.
