Are there any addons that currently work for this? I'm just curious.
Not sure if I needed to make a thread, but yeah.
Nope, and mat_picmip had been clamped to -1 to prevent stability problems
Shame they disabled Mat_picmip.

yeah I don't get why the soldier's arms were always so low quality
The main problem was that tf2 is a 32bit program, so you would crash with memory errors frequently.
as if we dont crash already?

I didn't? It's a console command anyway, it will only make those who use it crash, it's not like it's on by default I mean

I didn't either, but there was enough reports for valve to restrict the command.

Reports on a command that you have to enable yourself in the developer console....
yeah let's remove that completely

well, no shit? You say it like they were right to do so however.
Adding it to the graphics options officially along with a warning that it makes your game unstable when you try and activate it would have been much better.

This is great since the FOV looks horrible on my 5:4 screen but even though no one got banned yet I am still scared to use it. I wish TF2 was as customizable as quake.

Or Vable just upgrades the TF2 engine. WoW is on a newer engine now and even has DX10 support
how is that related to anything
even assuming you mean DOTA2, I don't see the link

oh man.
Will I get vac'd if I use this?

Possibly. But nobody has gotten VAC-banned yet using it, and it has quite a large userbase.

I can't wait for that plugin to turn out like that one plugin released on SPUF that made you able to make your fovs up to whatever you want and made your viewmodels transparent.
Long story short a Valve emplyee posted and shouted 'NO'.
[editline]11th March 2013[/editline]
I think a few got VAC'd too.
what would be so wrong with making your viewmodels transparent or your hands transparent? I wouldnt mind a skin that makes all the hands invisible, cause I want floating weapons :v:
Don't say that to me, say that to valve.

You'd have to search for the VMTs of the viewmodel hands (like spy_hands_%color%.vmt, add a "$no_draw" 1 string to prevent the hands from drawing at all)
Looking at this, reminds me of many old games where we didn't care about the character holding guns (actually, Soldier aims his Original through the "ironsight" which'd explain why it's in the middle of the screen but gives illusion of him shooting from his crotch!)
Makes me wonder how easy it'd be to remove the restriction from wireframe with this.
It's not hard, but I'm pretty sure removing the cheat flag from something is in a VAC blacklist
r_drawviewmodel 0 hides your viewmodels.

force sv_cheats to 1 then
