On 10pm Saturday night of November the 20th, "thedefiant", an Auburn University Fine Art student held an art gallery in TF2 with cooperation from fellow steam friends using in-game sprays. Concept of the work is derived from the context in which the vessels are placed. Ceramics, being one of the oldest forms of art in the history of our world, is brought into a modern light of current social interaction and entertainment. The appearance of each piece is a form of hybridization between traditional styles of ancient cultural forms which symbolize the rapid nature of our exchange of information in the modern era and the social interaction resulting from the Internet 2.0 social revolution. Too bad not everyone is wearing a ghastlier gibus/gentlemanny hat.
Cant see pics.
Look again
That's awesome. They should fix up the transparency of the sprays, though.
I'd have gone there and sprayed over them coz I'm cool
Erm... rather strange.
The pics alone just made me laugh so hard. That is pure genius.
ahhh you guys are sooo awesome thankyou!!!!
Ah yes that was quite the night if i say so myself we ended up having to go to 5 different server to get those pictures. Turns out that if people see there are players on a server they join and begin messing up everything. Was a fun thing to do though
I had an awesome experience with this and may possibly do future exhibits like this.
They just look like a bunch of pots to me.
