Valve moves in a different dimension of time to us mere mortals.
Hence the lack of any standard measurement of duration. A Valve minute can be be compressed to a nanosecond or stretched to 3 weeks.

Compressing biological organisms into Valve spacetime is expensive, even without the economy raising the price of differential engines.
