I've just re-installed TF2 onto my old computer as my new one is busted, and whenever I start tf2, it shows the intro with the guy with the Valve in the neck and the huge source logo, after that the screen goes black a for a second and the game minimizes and exits itself, never making it to the menu.
hmmm... had the same problem, went away after i turned my anti virus off and then back on again
I've turned it off, lemme check when turn it on again.
Another option would be -novid.
Tried that and -noborder, but I'll try -windowed now

FUCK! I suddenly now remembered that my brother had taken the gfx card because his girlfriend needed it for her computer. Great, now I probably can't play tf2 until he comes to look at the mess I have wich probably ends up in me needing to buy a new computer.
