The Tf2 Trading Community and You: How to exploit Mass Stupidity - Games

Many people have noticed if you hang out on Trading servers, that every week or 2, the collective trading goal is different. What could be valuable one week is garbage the next. One week its crates. The next its Keys And the next its vintages Here is the thing though: The swarm starts somewhere....Usually right here on Facepunch. and once someone starts off on a tangent. Everyone follows. How to exploit this for yourself: Its easy, all you have to do is get a few of your "well known friends" to go around and make up a big stink on how in the future something will have more/less value. How does this work: Once everyone realizes the "value" of the item, they will reassert the value of the items in their backpack and will trade accordingly, thus making your trading items more valuable.

So, logically, we could make the gibus a valuable item? FUCK I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN IT AWAY

I'm a very good trader, I know the market, and there is no sudden influx of different items weekly. When a new item is released, sure, but not a random item.

And if you look at my backpack and see my 2 whole hats, be aware I sold my unusual yesterday, so I'm pretty poor in-game now.

Okay, maybe in like 2 years you can trade 3-4 vintage weapons for something like a ritzy ricks hair fixiative. I scammed some guy for an ellis cap and I gave him 7 vintage weapons.

Hey vaati, I got some leveled vintages, extra special because they came out back when items had random levels. Give ya a few for that headtaker.

I have a lvl 16 kritzkrieg (They are SUPER rare), how about one of those for that headtaker?

First gabe tries to make stop to idling. Then he gives halos to non idlers. Then he makes all "old items" vintages. Idlers have ~10 vintage hats. 10x2 = 20. Gabe is doing this wrong. [editline]16th November 2010[/editline] I got rare lvl 52 vintage sandvich.
